Anyone remember this game?

I've been trying to find the name of this game but I've had no luck.

As far as I can remember, your character is part of some tournament that pits humans in mech suits against giant monsters for entertainment. You rarely see your mech, but before each fight you can choose what weapons to add on it. The monsters look like something out of Godzilla. There was even a three headed dragon thing. I remember really liking that if you hit a body part enough times, you can cripple it and fuck it up. You can blow out legs, heads, whatever. One of the monsters was even revealed to be actually a robot or something because there was machinery under its skin that you had to destroy too.

I'm pretty sure it was on Sega Genesis. Does anyone remotely have a clue?

I remember this - it was a first person view, right? You just shifted left and right and launched weapons at the monster. After matches you could spend winnings on more weapons. It sure sounds lame the way we're describing it, but I remember liking it way back when. The name escapes me.

Sorry to post a ROM site, but you can probably find it here.

These emulator sites have pictures for all their roms, I believe that's a pretty good list of SEGA games with screenshots (not sure how comprehensive it is).

Check this out Radb707. The laconic host has bit too much fun with the game's name, but the footage will take you back. The game had a great attitude and aesthetic.

So I'm bumping this thread cause I've just found this piece of game (?) footage on youtube. Please ignore the dribbling retard talking in the background - I'm just dying to know what game it might be.

It's obviously Conan, and I reckon I recognise the womans voice as Morrigan from Dragon Age, but for the life of me I had no idea there was a Conan game that looked like that on the market - is that Hyborian Age or something else entirely?

Any help?

Thanks again.

I never picked up the full game but the Conan demo was a lot of fun. Total God of War rip-off, but fun.

It's not bad at all, really, aside from Perlman's voice-over getting a little annoying at times, but I blame the lines more than the messenger. He has to have set some sort of record for usage of the word "dog" in a game not related to Petz/Dogz/Nintendogs.

Yeah, I never bothered to beat it but I enjoyed the Conan game more than I should have. Perlman didn't even sound like he was trying though.

I picked it up at Big W for about 50$ brand new a year or so ago. JB should stock 2nd hand copies for 20$ or so.

The game was fun. It's a shame it turned into a GOW clone as soon the bosses showed up (the last boss is an annoying fucker I tell you what) but the real meat of the game is in the combat and moves list. Really fleshed out combat system with a great little rpg element to it.

Conan was pretty fun. You can get it most anywhere for ten, fifteen bucks, and it's worth that.
