No, you're not tapping into some "all-powerful force controlling everything," as Han Solo said in the movies. But you are reaching out with mind power via one of the first mass-market brain-to-computer products. "It's been a fantasy everyone has had, using The Force," says Howard Roffman, president of Lucas Licensing.

Personally, I am completely blown away by this. I mean...EEG tech costs millions, right? That's what I thought. I really like the direction they're going with this and, to be quite honest, I can see myself owning that thing.*

Thats quality.

A bit like the I.Q. reader in Forbidden Planet(the film not shop) and will possibly be the most frustrating game ever,i can imagine many tears flowing from children and adults alike if they can't get the ball to move.

Which comes first - lawsuits alleging it causes brain cancer or adaptation of the tech for porn purposes?

EEG in general isn't that expensive... GOOD EEG can cost some money, but I'm guessing this is pretty low in the spatial and temporal resolution departments.

You could probably build something like this using mostly stuff from Radio Shack actually.

I also assume this is set to just pick up some specific, pre-set change in electrical activity, as opposed to being a system that "learns" based on your output (which would be more effective for quickly developing the ability to do multiple complex actions through a system like this).

Shit, I'm a lawyer and even I'll concede porn will beat the lawsuits. It always does.
