Although this series is set during the eighties, it's spirit clearly exists in the 1940's, the constant back and forth between Maddie and David, the screwball plots, it even has meta-jokes and fourth wall breaking humor, although Bruce Willis get's the showier role, I think Cybill Sheperd holds her own in the straightwoman role, this series is endlessly quotable from Addison's end but Maddie has some great lines as well.
