Animal Collective- Merriweather Post Pavillion

I don't know if I like it more than Strawberry Jam, but its an amazing album. Its weird that we are only a week into 2009 and I've already heard an album that will surely be in my top ten of the year. The highlights in my opinion are My Girls, Bluish, and Brother Sport. I've only listened to it twice so far, but like all AC albums I'm sure it will only get better the more I listen to it and pick up on new things.

I really believe there is no one else performing at their level right now. Three great albums in a row. It's a near impossible thing to accomplish.

This truly is a great album. Though I kind of miss Avey Tare's trademark screech as it is nowhere to be found here. But the melodies they've constructed make it more than forgivable. And the production is unbelievably dense.

I agree...the first week of 2009 has given us an album that is going to be extremely hard to top.
