Yes, Scion, the car company.

Atlanta. Feb 28. Free, though no one knows how to get tickets yet.

If I can't get in to this I'm-a have to hurt EVERYTHING.

Bands:

Mastodon, Neurosis, High on Fire, Boris, 1349, Cryptopsy, Torche, Nachtmystium, Wolves in the Throne Room, Baroness, Harvey Milk, Kylesa, Zoroaster, Withered, Krallice, Toxic Holocaust, Skeletonwitch, Rwake, A Storm of Light, Warbringer, Salome, Suidakra, Tyr, Alestorm and more.

...Wow. I'd go just for Mastodon (NEW ALBUM MATERIAL YEAHHH), but that's one hell of a lineup.

WOW do I love some of those band names. It's ironic that, as an 80s metalhead, metal is the genre that I am furthest (farthest?) removed from now.

There are at least 13 bands on there I'd be thrilled to see. (Neurosis, Nachtmystium and Wolves in the Throne Room being tops.) I saw Mastodon recently at the 40 Watt in Athens and Zoroaster and Withered on NYE, but fucking hell, that's an amazing lineup.

From SCION.

Jesus. I wonder if I can conquer my hatred of crowds for this.

If Scion really wanted attention from the rest of us not in Atlanta, they'd get those bands to put together a set on Rock Band.

Regardless, that's pretty badass, Russ. I'm jealous.

Oh god, I just noticed Harvey Milk on there too. First you guys get Waits with Glitter and Doom and now this. I hate all of you. ALL OF YOU.

Yeah, Harvey Milk may put me over the top on this. Dammit. I hate crowds.

Harvey Milk is from Athens; they play Atlanta several times per year.

That's one fucking hell of a line up, I'd be psyched for Cryptopsy but with the new vocalist not so much. They even did a cover of SYL's "Oh My Fucking God" that was just so bad.

I've see a lot of those bands in the past year or so. Neurosis, High on Fire, Boris, 1349, Wolves in the Throne Room, Baroness, Kylesa, Skeletonwitch, Rwake, Suidakra, Tyr, Alestorm. All are particularly worthy of your attention.
