Ann Coulter gets her bony ass handed to her on The View

Are we still paying attention to this cunt?

I can't stand Coulter, but I don't think she got her "ass handed" by these intellectual lightweights at all which shouldn't be surprising if you've ever seen the View before.

Seriously, like I've said before, this chick is like Freddy Kruger. All we have to do is just look the other way when she opens her yapper and she'll eventually fade away into obscurity.

You thought Coulter's arguments were better than theirs? She just basically just referred to various studies repeatedly.

You don't have to be an intellectual heavyweight to pick apart Ann Coulter's viewpoints.

I don't think so at all, but their arguments to refute them were non-existing either. "I'm a single mom too, I'm offended", "I'm a celebrity and I'm not a bad example". Really, that's the best you can do???

She was citing studies and figures left and right, some which didn't really backup her main points, but that was missed by the ladies in the View. I can actually see some people using this little exchange here to think that Coulter is more informed.

Yeah, but it doesn't help if you are a moron either. Again, I don't agree with what she was saying at all, but they didn't really call her out on her statements and I'm sure her book has more outrageous stuff that could have been picked apart with real facts and figures rather than "why are you insulting me" questions.

I thought they did a decent job, especially, surprisingly, Sherri's comments about only judging and not offering any solutions.

I find The View interesting because it's basically the only show on tv where women sit around and talk about politics. The show could do with less discussions about sex-related polls that sound like they're from Glamour magazine, but I think they do a better job of holding two thoughts at the same time than a lot of other shows that delve into politics. They were one of the only programs to take McCain to task on his bullshit when they had him on.

I guess we saw this in totally different ways.

The "you don't offer solutions" comment sort of seemed to imply her criticisms were valid in the first place. They should have addressed how she uses these controversies just for the sake of scandal to cynically make money, and how they're based on misinterpreting data.

The fact that she was even on the show is amazing, but hell, any press is good press I guess.

All they did was shout her down which, while fun to watch, wasn't much of a victory.

The problem with Coultergeist is that she gets away with it 99.9 percent of the time because generally she'll present some arcane fact, use it to support her mean, insane, tunnel vision ramblings, and no one on the other side will have enough facts at their fingertips to adequately hand her ass back to her. I would have liked that clip if one of the ladies had thoroughly researched her talking points and been able to deconstruct them to a degree that the sham beneath the blond extensions could be exposed. Just general arguing doesn't cut it. Where's Zbigniew Brzezinski when you need him.

I would love to just put Michael Moore and Ann Coulter into a really small box and just dump it into the ocean.

As Sherri said, there are nuggets of truth in some of the things Coulter says. It seems like Sherri was talking more about teenage single mothers than all of the rest of what Coulter was laying on the table.

Whoopi did that a little bit with the "I know this is your act" line, but yeah, they could've done a better job of calling her out on all of that.
I can only stand her for seconds. I heard her carrying on about the evils of single motherhood, and it may well be true that most criminals are the products of broken homes, but it occurred to me that it's likely there's a correlational rather than a causal relationship at work here; perhaps poverty's a factor. Then I heard her say it was a conspiracy by the Left and I stopped watching because I'm really, really, really sick of that bullshit.

I still wonder how in the hell did she get a law degree.

She swallows.

That's a hell of a gag reflex.

Presumably she got it wherever Jack Thompson got his.

The thing about Coulter is she's turning into a reality TV personality. That is, she is selling herself, not her political insight. The lead topic of every interview she's done for this book is how she was "banned" by the Today show. Not her views, not the information in her book, but celebrity gossip about her book tour.
The View played right into that by making the interview about HER.
With Democrats back in the White House we are going to see more of this from neo-con pundits- Persecution Outrage.

Finding out Coulter got her ass handed to her is like finding out the Lions lost.

Finding Coulter's ass at all is the true accomplishment here.

My opinion on Coulter for years is that she's a secret liberal, trying to make conservatives look insane and evil.

Im no fan of Coulter, but when you only get to speak for five or six seconds before being interrupted its hard to "get your ass handed to you."

I didnt hear her speak more than 14 words that werent drowned out by the voices of 2 other women or applause.

Coulter does the exact same thing on other shows she appears on.

But with that said, I do hate how they all yelled over each other. It's sad that most political shows (not saying the View is a political show) are like that and that no one can ever get a word in or try and make a point. It's all just noise.

Interesting theory! Coincidently, i think the same thing about Sean Hannity.
I don't know. I think Coulter doesn't believe in 75% or more of what she says.

Hannity on the other hand, he seems like he buys his own BS.
