Maybe this belongs in the "Gossip" forum or some other "celebrities and their political opinions" thread, but wasn't sure.

ROURKE: 'BUSH WAS IN THE WRONG PLACE AT THE WRONG TIME'

I don't know anything about his politics, but anybody think his opinions on Bush are somewhat related to his own personal struggles?

What I don't get is his take on the UK's comparatively more liberated speech laws. I thought they were far harsher on that sort of thing. Wasn't a woman brought to court for some shitty fanatical poem she wrote? And others got deported for "fiery sermons". If it weren't for the House of Lords (in some cases) things would be worse. Whenever I get depressed about the civil rights problems in the US I always comfort myself with the thought, "Well, at least it's not England!"
