The Phantom Tollbooth

I am in my twenties and daily life still brings the characters in Norton Juster's children's book to mind. If you read this at a really young age like I did, you must think of the Terrible Trivium or other characters at some other point in life when faced by the situations they evoke. The Phantom Tollbooth is etched in my brain more than any other artistic work. I reread it and it was as good as I remember, though also as unfortunately short.

I swear to god I was just thinking about this book last week and mentioned it to my GF. I remembered that there was also a cartoon movie made of the book that was pretty good. I figured that the book would be great for my GF's son to read and the movie to watch afterwards, but unfortunately I couldn't find a copy of the movie on DVD. Great book and I'm glad to see others have much love for it as well.
