Just how many is he appearing in? Here's the latest pulse-pounding addition-
post #2 of 57
Maybe he'll be possessed by a Daemonite like Quayle was.
Youngblood still exists?
Yeah and they've made it all the way up to issue 8 because liefeld isn't drawing it.
He first appeared in The Savage Dragon. Then Marvel stole the whole dialogue from the Dragon appearance, including the "respect knuckles" fist-bumping. Now Youngblood...

Obama has become what Spider-Man/Wolverine/Punisher were in the early 90's...a cheap sales boost cameo option for sagging titles.
What exactly is the concept behind that cover? Is Obama telekinetically manipulating Rob Liefeld trading cards? More importantly, are they foil or holographic?

You think this stopped in the 90s?

Oh and a 5 page comic where a drawn Obama pumps fists with Spider-man is the stupidest thing to garner unnecessary media attention in at least the last week.
I'm so ashamed that I paid $15.00 for that Obama/Spider-Man comic.

That'll probably be the only Obama comic worth reading.
I guess Baker figured Toussaint was already in good hands!

Well, I can't really say anything as I picked this up some time before the election. That it was unbelievably thorough and frank with both Obama and McCain and ended on a cliffhanger appealed to me.

Turns out I know a place that's got some coming in. I'm tempted to just grab one so I can turn around and rape some assholes wallet. The only thing that'll keep me from bothering is the "collector's item" beanie-baby atrophying in one of my storage drawers, mocking my very nerve to even have this plan.

Comic shops are reportedly charging up to 50 bucks. God bless America.
Yes!
Now no one will be able to read them!
The Comics industry wins again!
Ah I remember when my dad took me to the comic store long long ago, and he bought me a comic that had a 2.50 sticker on it, and when he took it to the counter the guy was like UHHHH HOLD ON, and took out the latest copy of Wizard to see if the price guide said it was worth more so he could gouge us!

But I'm pretty sure it was Bloodshot #19 so we probably got a deal. Shocking that the store went out of business!

Obama vs Osama

Hopefully that'll be the death-knell of this fad.

I even noticed the ASM Obama issue at a Wal-Mart, which hasn't carried pamphlet comics in years and years.
Obama vs Osama from Newsarama?

Maybe Im just feeling childish but thats funny.

*slams fist on desk*

Goddammit Liefeld.
I am simutaneously thankful and horrified that Rob Liefeld exists in this world.
Was Liefeld traumatized by poorly fitting pants and shirts as a child?
What the fuck is going on with the big dude's right hand? It looks like some kind of atrophied flipper.
It must be Youngblood's Take Your Son to Work Day.

I think it evolved into a single giant finger in order to pull the trigger on a gun that huge.
Obama doesn't have any pouches, Liefield's slipping.
It's admirable how thrifty Liefeld was by making Obama's gun out of PVC and pipe cleaners. We're in a recession, ya know!
Is it just me, or is the big dude's (Chapel, if I remember correctly) left arm (the one behind Obama) longer than his right? I'm trying to figure out where his elbow is, and it seems to me where I believe it's positioned makes his arm longer than his right arm.

Oh, Liefield. Way to nail that anatomy. And look! No feet showing!
I'm wondering if Obama's left hand is in his pocket or what?

Also, Kilmer's got nothing on those elbows. Those things are SHARP.

If you thought that the comic book industry’s fascination with President Barack Obama was ending anytime soon, you’d be very, very wrong.

To date, the President has guest-starred with the Savage Dragon, Spider-Man, and the Youngblood team. He’s also been the subject of a biographical comic by IDW which will continue later this year.

And now, Chicago-based Devil’s Due has announced two more Obama-based comic projects shipping this June, Drafted 100 Days, Barack, The Barbarian: Quest for the Treasure of Stimuli. The first folds Obama into Devil’s Due’s alternate reality world where the earth has united to fight off an alien invasion, while the latter is an ongoing satire series, written by Larry Hama.

Poor Larry Hama.

I can't stop laughing at that last Liefeld cover though.

Oh god. Why is he smiling so much? What's even happening on that last page? Does he push over that clock for some reason, or is it just a really poorly drawn perspective? And why is he straddling that huge blue thing?
I'll say bad perspective, as I doubt Obama would push a grandfather's clock onto a dead Secret Service agent. That would be adding insult to injury, and our president doesn't strike me as a guy that would do something like that.

Also, it seems Obama is ambidextrous - note how the gun keeps switching hands (amateur night, Liefield!). I wonder if on the next page, Obama holds his gat on it's side when he fires, like his g's in tha hood would? It's possible, note how grim Obama looks once he gets the gun - all moody and all business. Yeah, somebody's gonna get a steel-jacketed stimulus up in here, up in here.

What's with the Bono style sunglasses the Secret Service agents are wearing? I've worked with the Secret Service before, and no way in hell would they wear shades like that. Indoors.
I swear I saw Obama on the cover of a Greatest American Hero comic (!!!) today, but the internet offers no proof that such a thing exists.
The Obama familys dog is supposed to make an appearance in the new Pet Avengers comic that Marvel is publishing.
