Really? Bizarre. Escalante annoyed me, but I thought the place went downhill ever since they axed Dicky Barrett.

One day I was driving around and Jason Schwartzman was interviewing Roman Coppola, and the next day it was Jon Hamm, and then one day it was Zooey Deschanel DJing, and I felt like I was in the apartment of a girl I knew I had to be paitent to bone as they showed me their taste. And then there's when Edgar Wright guested for Jonsey, with people like Jonah Hill, Diablo Cody, Simon and Jess, and Patton Oswalt showing up. On top of them being the only station that might play things that were on my iPod.

This fucking sucks.

One of the funniest Jonesy shows for me featured Chris Kattan.

They fucked around on the guitar and Kattan improv'd songs for most of the show, ending with a Journey-knockoff totally riffing on Los Angeles. He actually didn't grate my nerves for once in his life.

I miss Timothy Olyphant doing sports news.

Indie Activist:

This is an important message for the Indie 103.1 Radio Audience -

Indie 103.1 will cease broadcasting over this frequency effective immediately. Because of changes in the radio industry and the way radio audiences are measured, stations in this market are being forced to play too much Britney, Puffy and alternative music that is neither new nor cutting edge. Due to these challenges, Indie 103.1 was recently faced with only one option --- to play the corporate radio game.

We have decided not to play that game any longer. Rather than changing the sound, spirit, and soul of what has made Indie 103.1 great Indie 103.1 will bid farewell to the terrestrial airwaves and take an alternative course.

This could only be done on the Internet, a place where rules do not apply and where new music thrives; be it grunge, punk, or alternative - simply put, only the best music.

For those of you with a computer at home or at work, log on to www.indie1031.com and listen to the new Indie 103.1 - which is really the old Indie 103.1, not the version of Indie 103.1 we are removing from the broadcast airwaves.

We thank our listeners and advertisers for their support of the greatest radio station ever conceived, and look forward to continuing to deliver the famed Indie 103.1 music and spirit over the Internet to passionate music listeners around the world.

Yeah, that's playing between each songs. I guess this went down today, cause I swear I was listening to them a bit yesterday.

There was a great Jonesy's Jukebox jury that had Oswalt and a bunch of other guys just shooting the shit and makeing fun of 70s cop shows.

My personal favorite Jonsey's jukebox was when he had Johnny Rotten on. It was a very insightful chat and you found that Rotten was an intelligent guy.

Not to mention I got to attend a screening of The Filth and The Fury back in '06. The day I moved into my place. Got my ticked signed by Jonsey. What a night.

Also Watsui Rodeo was the only place where I could sit down and listen to rockabilly every Sunday.

I guess what's a bit of a downer on this is that repetive jerk off talk radio (KFI) continues to drone on and on and on and on.

Leo Laporte is the only reason I'll tune into KFI. That and George Noory when I want to hear weird shit.
