Guys, the news stations over here seem to be saying the proceedings are kicking off at 4pm GMT - but what time does he actually do the actual hand-on-the-book thing? I'm trying to work out what time I need to lave work.

This day kind of reminds me the day a graduation or a last day of school comes up. You actually can't believe it's here and that it feels like any other day.

I'll be working, there's no video here. Oddly enough I was working the day Bush got sworn in 2001.

A couple of years ago, a Chewer (can't remember who, pretty sure his name started with "R") sent me a Bush's Last Day countdown clock as my xmas exchange gift. It's been sitting directly in front of me, on my desk, ever since. Today it started flashing 0 Days.

I'm watching the ABC coverage in hi-def at home -- it's been about what you'd expect, but not bad at all.

I've got vodka chilling in the freezer. Gonna wait until it's official to begin my afternoon of toasting.

Oh, and I think the chewer that sent me the countdown clock was either Ripoll or Rath. If either of you guys read this and it was you, thanks again. That thing had over 800 days on it when it first arrived, and that flashing 0 was a wonderful thing to wake up to this morning.
