Stallone age 62

Found this at AICN, It seems like he slimmed down for The Expendables. Amazing, almost Rocky 4 but with veins.

Well. I wasn't going to go to the gym today, but that picture made me feel like an absolute pussy for saying that I was just going to skip it.
Jake, if you feel that way. You can't even imagine how I feel. Except for the veins, that's just gross.
HGH is a helluva drug.
Damn straight. I was looking at some porn the other day and they showed some guy ripped like that. No balls at all. Nothing.

Yeah I don't really care what bodybuilders pump in to their veins to make them that big, it just saddens my heart that he'll probably die of an heart attack before he's 70 if he continues the use. That stuff ages your liver and heart like crazy. Some of the young athletes who kill themselves with these drugs actually die of old age.

He must be greasing himself. Every picture of him with his shirt off is shiny.
Weird that he was in significantly worse shape in Rocky and Rambo.

He openly admitted to using HGH.
I think some people are misunderstanding how HGH works. You still have to work out like a fiend. It allows you to do so more often. Hence you have a 62 year old that could probably snap all of us in half with his bicep.

I know not everyone knows the health risks with HGH, but I have a feeling he'll be around longer on it than anabolic steroids.

True.

However, with any anabolic substance, unless tightly controlled for hormonal replacement, it's going to give you problems down the road.
I heard Frank Stallone is also on HGH. Hoagies, grinders, and heroes.
So did he snap that picture with his cell phone and send it to Harry to show off and get another nice free promotion for his new mascular masturbation fest?
The bigger the explosions...the smaller the balls.

That isn't grease, Sly's greatness glows damnit.

He's weirdly disproportionate. His chest should be much bigger considering the size of his arms. His right one looks like the result of a mastectomy.

I think when Stallone did his Q&A with Knowles he mentioned that he got into a bench pressing contest with some body builder back in the 80's and tore his pectoral muscle pretty badly as a result.

But then he made Tango & Cash and all was right in the world. The end.

He's one of them cock-diesel mother fuckers.

It's a way to show Dolph that he better get his ass in the gym if he wants to keep up.
Those tats are real I take it? I remember seeing them in another Stallone thread and assuming they were fakes for a movie.

Well I saw Dolph in a show a few months ago and sure he was fit but nowhere near this level.
Holy shit, he looks like he's made out of teflon.

As if my body image wasn't bad enough...
I love Stallone, and a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do to sustain his career, but there really should be price tags taped all over his body just so everyone gets a better idea of what it costs to be Sylvester Stallone.
He's the same age in that pic that Eastwood was in Unforgiven. So odd.

You betcha. Im friends with a guy who used to be one of his bodyguards back in the day.

Aside from Stallone ordering that he and others not stand too close to him when they went out (as it made Sly look smaller), apparently hes a big fan of insulin as well.
Sly's somewhere between 5'4" and 5'11". Depending on what article you're reading.

Whats been amazing to me over the years is despite insulin being more dangerous (in terms of one screw-up and your dead) than GH and steroids it was easy to get and you didn't need a presecription. I don't know if this is still the case in the States.

It could be that it never gets the press like GH and steroids, and so the only people using (diabetics aside) are serious bodybuilders that at least semi-understand the risks.

Anyway...To look like that at his age, Stallone's self discipline has to be crazy in every regard: the gym, eating habits, and obviously the chemicals as well. I think what makes his case different from the average joe BBer is that he's got top doctors helping him out, which may buy him a few extra years on the back end.

I'm even more impressed looking back at Balboa and Rambo. I was sure when I saw Balboa that this was the closest he could get to his old physique and when he made Rambo he really bulked up instead of slimming down to his old Rambo physique. He explained that by saying he wanted this 'older' Rambo to have a more ox-like physique. I was like, yeah sure, at the time but know it's clear that he is truly able to sculpt his body into the exact shape he wants.
Honestly tho, would a single one of us be in any way surprised if his heart gave out and he dropped dead tomorrow?

Indeed. Most bodybuilders (casual and professional) will throw just about anything in their bodies with the exception of slin. Tren, a-bombs, etc is all "fair game" and manageable to them, but slin scares the bejesus out of some of them.

Case in point, people will take DNP like its no big deal. (DNP is used commercially as and ingredient in explosives, but it also raises your body temperature and inhibits the part of your brain that would normally cool it down if it got too hot). I personally know one person (along with at least three others indirectly) who died while on DNP for something as simple as walking to the gymo outside on a warm day, starting their working by warming up with a 5 minute jog on a treadmill, etc.

If it works (and you live), losing upwards of 10-15 pounds in a week or so is not uncommon.

So stupid. They end up gaining it back anyway, most of that shit is water weight. I guess it makes sense if they're looking to cut way, way up for a competition, but still. Blah.

That's why I'll never understand bodybuilders. You put all that largely non-functional muscle, starve yourself for a couple of weeks, traipse around in a bikini bottom for an hour onstage, and then you're done until you get ready to do it all again.

Believe it or not, but losing a legit 1-2% of bodyfat as measured by the hydrostatic standard is not uncommon. Your body is, in effect, burning upwards of 2,500-3,000 calories just sitting still.

I gotta agree with that. Im a friend of the geigh man, yet standing on a stage after a group of other strapping men oiled me up real good and having people stare at me is not something I look forward to on a saturday night.

No, I know. Basal metabolic rate and whatnot.

There's a difference to being in great shape and being in ridiculous shape. I wonder why Stallone feels the need to put his body at risk. Its not like his target audience is not going to see The Expendables because he is 15 pounds heavier.
Sly's heart just grew to the size of a large cantelope right about. . . NOW.

The answer involves the same brain circuit that make most of the female stars at Hollywood think they're fat.
I think the simplest answer here is vanity.
Vanity and friendly competition. He needs to at LEAST look as good as his costars for 'The Expendables'.

I understand the vanity aspect but I don't understand it in his case. I know why body builders would do it, I know why athletes would do it...it just seems unnecessary for him to do it. He SEEMS like he would be smart enough to know the danger of pushing his body past certain limits but I guess he can't help himself.
With Sly it's not common vanity though, it's overcompensation in areas that the forceps couldn't fuck.
