Hansard and Irglova Split.

Glen Hansgard and Marketa of the film Once have broken up.

In a recent interview, Hansard states that he and Irglova are no longer romantically involved.

"It did become a real relationship," Hansard admits. "I think it was just a very natural part of what we were doing together. We had made the film. We had gone through so much with the Oscar. Of course, we fell into each other's arms. It was a very necessary part of our friendship but I think we both concluded that that wasn't what we really wanted to do. So we're not together now. We are just really good friends."

They're still touring together as well,that must be tough.Hansards guitar will surely weep.

Or is Glen basically saying that it was a prolonged sportfuck after winning the Oscar?

I just want to add that if they come anywhere near you, go see them. One of the best shows I've ever been too.

I've seen The Frames twice at Shepherds Bush Empire and they're great live.Hansard is a top frontman,he takes the piss but keeps it fun and their music speaks for itself,sublime.

I found Once to be disappointing,i did see it on a plane though which aint comfortable viewing and probably tainted the experience.

I actually thought it was a little creepy that they got together in real life so, selfish bastard that I am, their real-life heartbreak is OK by me.

It's very sad for me to hear but I'm okay with this ending. You meet, get together and sometimes you part. Life will go on for them both.

For some reason, I thought they had already been together before and were 'just great friends' afterwards. All before the film was being made.

But yeah... Awwwwwwwww...
