I was very excited to see the American Reunion movie. I saw American Pie just after college and remembered it was quite funny.
Jim, Michelle, Oz, Heather, Stifler reunite for their high school...
I agree with the valentines sentiment to a degree - we're having it a week early this year to avoid the price-hiking and hassle entailed in booking time away. It's amazing how many people simply can't celebrate it at any other time.
It's just like the wedding thing. You go into a florist or a party supply place and tell them you're having a wedding, and they drag out crap that costs five times as much as anything else, and people actually pay it. Tell them you're having a garden party.
Watching that on VHS was the wife's and mine (grammar?) very 1st date the week after Valentine's Day, 13 years ago. It's always been one of my favorite romantic comedies.
I might make her watch ONCE this year.
But frankly, I'm more concerned about what to do for our 10 year wedding anniv in June.
Well, as a rare member of the female species that despises romcoms with every fiber in her being, I've found that the most unlikely film can make for the ultimate date movie. A date took me to see Let The Right One In and we had an hourlong talk about that flick afterwards. Great movie, great discussion, great date.
I recently watched Priceless (Hors de Prix) and was surprised. It's not just a great romantic comedy, it's a great movie. It's very funny, quite mature and very sexy. Enjoyed the dickens out of it.
