Your right, the episode was definately the worst of the season. Nobody wants to see Lana learn to take care of her self for like the third time. Plenty of important things have apparently just taken a backseat so that more Clark/Lana drama can happen. Doomsday is a sensitive unstoppable killing machine so he doesnt mind giving those two the time they need to sort out feelings.

I suppose I cant be too hard on Lana though since next week will be her last appearance on the show. The previews make it look like she will be leaving the show in the shoes of Pa Kent/Lionel(they wear size casket shoes) instead of moving away like Martha or Pete. Im guessing she sacrifices herself for Clark and dies in the kryptonite explosion, though just far enough away from the explosion to give some tearful last words.
