Meanwhile, the guy who went after me had a pre-order at a mall store a minute away that cancelled their midnight opening as well, and he was told he basically had to have the store he reserved at confirm his pre-orders and get them sent to the brand new store that just opened that is apparently some sort of dedicated midnight opening from then on.
Stay fucking classy, Gamestop.

Yeah, the midnight opening I went to denied someone there with a pre-order from another store as well.
(By the way, no more midnight openings for me. Even though I was awake and the store is half a block away, it was such a sad gathering of ne'er-do-wells. Paying rent just didn't make me feel any better about myself being there. But I *did* get the RDR deck of cards!)
Anyway I popped it in for about a half hour "before" work today. The game is
gorgeous. The models are fine but the lighting and environment is just incredible. Way ahead of GTA4, and it doesn't seem to have that dither-y blurriness either.
