So is this movie any good? It has a premise that sounds a lot better than the usual reality show turns out to kill peeps for real idiocy.

I know some of yous has seen it.

Well, I think Butane saw it and said that it was pretty disappointing... but I don't remember. I'm waiting for him to drop some science on this thread.

My man and I have not seen this, but we did see an extended trailer at Fango last month and it was, um, pretty lame looking.

Also, if it's anything like the writer/director's previous flick Lady of the Lake (another Fango release), it's not worth the speculation.

For a horror magazine Fangoria releases some real crap. "Lady of the Lake" sucked and I couldn't even make it through "I, Zombie." Just knowing it's a Fango release tells me to avoid it.

Come now, I, Zombie was a ton of fun. A little cheap and light on the plot, but it was fun.

I don't remember anything actually happening.

You should check out 'I,Zombie's director's second film, 'Dead Creatures'. Very atomospheric and dreary, we dug it a lot.

No, I haven't seen '$lasher$', but I'd sure like to. I know the concept is lame and the last movie from it's director was pretty terrible, but people can change...Right?

I think I've heard of "Dead Creatures" somewhere. Might have to find it. It's not like that direcor was a hack, but he just made a really boring movie, and I even like slow, esoteric movies.

Hey, "$lasher$' looked a helluva lot more interesting than the other dreck Fangoria's been acquiring. It looks like a slicker production and doesn't have that, "Hey! Look what I shot in my grandmother's backyard!" feel.

Hits video shelves tomorrow morn - I'll be checkin' it out.

Being from the UK, Dead Creatures, while far better crafted than I, Zombie (Parkinson's a BBC man I believe so it should look damn good) just reeks of Ken Loach/Mike Leigh realism which sits at odds with the exploitation feel - no bad thing, but it does lend a "Sunday Night TV" feel to the proceedings. Which if you live in Blighty makes one shudder.

Full marks for effort, it's truly something original and non derivative, a far cry from the carbon copy excreta that we usually create, but it didn't gel for me unfortunately. Dreary and incredibly atmospheric to be sure - I think Parkinson's one to watch for the future however.

The zombie wanking scene alone makes I, Zombie worth a rental.
