There is an article about Tom Savini on today's news at Ain't It Cool and I posted a talk back about the time I met the guy and he totally treated me like dog shit... and I got banned... again.

Yup. Your truely has been banned from Talkback twice.

The first time, my original talk back ID: Jesus H. Christ got banned for repeatedly posting talk backs about Harry's morbid obesity but this time I just posted about how Savini blew me off. Of course, I used some very colorful language and at one point referred to the man as a "bag of dicks", but that's beside the point.

I got kicked out of a Country and Western Kareoke bar once for bringing some Alice Cooper to the people. It may not be smack talkin' about Savini, but it is a proud moment from my past.

If you continually posted jibes about Harry's weight then, sorry, but you're the bag of dicks.

Their banning of people does seem arbitrary though. About a year ago, the site virtually dried up and there was almost no news getting posted. I got banned from TalkBack for posting about how two links to new trailers on Apple's site in three days wasn't really "cool" or "news". Since then, I only really go back to AICN if Moriarty posts a link to something worthwhile over here.

honestly, I don't give a crap.

about the fat posts, it was a slow news day and it was a slow work day and you know what they say about idle hands.

as for this time, still don't give a crap. In a way, it's sort of fun. I don't go looking for trouble, and I didn't intend to get banned, but what the hell? There are some downright abusive people on those forums who get away with much worse than I've ever done. The trolls over there can be pretty awful and never get in any trouble but the second I talk smack about Savini they outright ban me.

In the same post, I referred to Fango's write ups of Savini as greasy and homoerotic. That may have been another factor entirely.

Anyway, all in a day's work.

They really do ban for far to little, doesn't make any sense to me. All it does is make them look hyper-sensitive and insecure most of the time. Who knows thier motives, I stick to my Killings and that's all I need.

I don't take things very seriously over there and I really only cared about their occasional coverage of asian movies at the film fests but for the most part I only liked reading Moriarty's write-ups.

Man, I been banned from that stupid-ass place too many times to waste time counting up. Don't dare every say anything even the slightest bit negative about his sis and the video store she and her husband operate or bad mouth either Roger Ebert or dead Gene Siskel. Harry can go so ape shit over the littlest things.

Ditto on both counts. Plus most of what I've read has that drooling fanboy writing style that I find fairly annoying.

.... a friend of mine was once asked to leave a video store because he squatted down in one of the aisles and burped the alphabet ....

The good friend that I am, I tried explaining to the clerks that he was just talking out loud, attempting to figure out if "R" fell BETWEEN "S" and "T" or BEFORE "S" and "T" ...
