Ryan Rotten cracked me up with his tweet about that line.

Kudos to you, Devin.

Come to Jersey!

They got your name and the site's address correct, that's all that matters.

Congrats on more press!

And, hey, a good chunk of actual quoting. There are like two whole paragraphs of Devin in there.

Yep. This is great for the site and fun for us readers.

The article is in the New York Times today. This is a pretty big deal for me; growing up a New York dweeb I read the Times every day and it's still the single most important newspaper in the world as far as I'm concerned. Having my name in the Times (preferably non crime related) has been a dream for decades.

That's fantastic, Devin. I've only seen the first Friday the 13th, but I've always enjoyed reading your thoughts about them, both in the ongoing series and in this article. Congratulations again.

Congratulations. That's quite an accomplishment.

Did you ever imagine it would be for Friday the 13th?

But that's amazing. Congrats, man.

That it's for F13 makes it even more incredible for me.
Amazing. Congratulations. Must be one helluva feeling.

Congrats, Dev! I replied to your Tweet about it but I don't think we're mutual friends, so you'll never see it
post #16 of 29
Wow. Congratulations, Devin.
Congrats! Honestly, I almost expected you to turn up in the His Name Was Jason DVD somewhere. You'd certainly have more insight than some of the Aspergers-laden web journalists they did interview on there.
well done
This is really cool. Congrats, Dev!

You got your foot in the door of credibility for all internet writers. Congrats, Devin.
Excellent! Congratulations.

Funny, insightful, and spot-on quotes.
I always knew you were an expert - nothing new here.

Congrats on the coverage Devin, well deserved and way overdue.
That was some great lines you were quoted on, congrats.

You also showed up on the Vulture weblog in their daily quotes section: http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment...et_how_we.html

Put together a book ala Verne's SEAGALOLOGY!

Congrats!

Long time coming. Congrats.

Yeah, I agree with Darkmite here. I would gladly read a book of your essays on the Friday series, especially something done along the lines of your "Star Trekkin'" series. Especially if you make it cheaper than the Crystal Lake Memories book (I want that book so bad but I refuse to pay $30 for it).
That's a shame (in regards to the Crystal Lake book) as it is totally worth the price if you're a fan.

Maybe not as big an issue with the Friday the 13th series, but good luck getting Paramount to sign off on any stills at all, given the tone and language of the Trekkin' series. I think they frown on speculation about Kirk's fuckhabits and Shatner's toupee. It'd have to be one of those "unauthorized" deals with shitty photocopies of shame illustrating it, which might be part of the charm of it. Actually, dressing up nerds to re-enact key scenes might be funnier.
