Not having the cash or interest to visit the shop every month, I've been following several web-based serials:
Odysseus the Rebel, by Steven Grant I'm a sucker for straight-up Greek mythology, and this retelling injects some personality into pretty much every major player in the story of The Odyssey. Particularly interesting is Odysseus' near-misanthropic self-reliance and the behind-the-scenes glimpses of legends such as the plain Helen of Troy, who paid her poets to sing songs of her beauty.
Necessary Monsters Should be right up CHUD's alley: a dream team of movie-horror analogues (i.e., Freddy, Leatherface, Samara, etc.) team up to keep one of their own from getting too powerful and ruining the fun for everyone else. Can be a little corny in some places, but the character designs are pretty cool and the espionage aspects are well played against the horror.
Any others I should be on the lookout for?
