The last issue of The Savage Dragon (issue 144) has a pretty unique narrative device. 121 squared panels, 121 days in the Dragon's life:

The issue was just released, and it's probably the best issue of the comic (which is always quite enjoyable). The running jokes are hilarious, specially the milkshake bit, and now that Erik has wrapped up all the storylines, he's making Dragon a cop again and making the comic easier to follow, starting with next issue, 145. This 121-panel thing only really works because this is creator-owned and the characters age in real time in the book (Dragon's kids are 13-14 already!). I won't elaborate on why, though.

Anyway, i know there are a few Savage Dragon fans here, so...
