2.5 on IMDB. Nice.

And I notice that not all the pictures from Cat & Fiddle were deleted. Thanks a lot.

Edit: Was that an iPhone picture? Kinda grainy in the dim light like that.

This movie is so good i can't Twitter everything without pissing off people by flooding Twitter! it's amazing.
Didn't you get pissed off when someone started updating his blog when he was watching a movie a while back?
I'm enjoying the Twits. Fuck the haters. Keep 'em coming.

A movie he was reviewing? Yeah.

What is the internet fascination with catching me in a hypocritical statement, anyway? I'm not running for fucking president. I"m live twittering a blaxploitation film.

Didn't mean it like that. Just that the way it pissed people off could have been what was annoying to you as well.

Still, I liked it while it lasted.

No, I was annoyed that someone was reviewing a movie they watched while twittering.

I enjoy Devin's twittering - so I'll second screw the haters.

"There's been three scenes with this hooker and she's never been out of bed. Or even so much as sitting up in bed."

Well, most of what you need a hooker for is in bed. So technically...

Really? Maybe I need to watch it again because I was pretty underwhelmed when I first saw it a while back.

Sounds like a solid work ethic, to me.

Don't you like to fuck standing up?

Like I said, most. I'm all about the Kama Sutra, baby.

I don't know how to target tweets by date, but I wish I could go back and read this. Holy cow, Uschi Digard.
Devins tweets on this caused me to seek this out a few months back, and while I don't remember it as well as I should, I remember the line about "removing a girls tits"(Don't you dare touch Uschi Digard!) and setting "her bush on fire" made me laugh pretty hard.

And the castration/toilet scene was pretty fantastic as well.

Devin, are you live twittering in a public theater or from home? That was what you were complaining about before, that it was an obnoxious thing to do in public

Devin, what the hell?

http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment...-tweeting.html

Quote:
Then, however, a few crotchety movie bloggers who weren't even in the theater caught wind of the tweeting session. Incensed that such an event might irresponsibly encourage other non-famous, less-funny moviegoers to use cell phones during screenings, they spoke out. CHUD's Devin Faraci blasted First Showing's Alex Billington, who was in attendance ("Solemn promise: if I am at a movie where @firstshowing is twittering, I will smash his fucking phone").
http://www.chud.com/articles/article...VIE/Page1.html

Quote:
Tonight Alex joined some local comedians at a midnight screening of Crank 2. They all Twittered their reactions to the movie as it was going on, pulling out their cell phones during the screening to share their priceless comedy with the masses. If you've ever been to a theater where someone texts during a screening you know just how annoying that blue light can be, just how distracting. It's one thing for a bunch of comedians to do it, but for a film critic?

...

Anyone who has been to a movie theater in recent years knows that the experience is getting worse and worse. People text, people talk, people bring their infants to R rated movies. Going to a movie can be a real hassle - you pay ten bucks to have a bunch of kids chat the whole time, distracting you. A person who loves film should want the moviegoing experience - for ANY movie - to be better, not worse. But Alex Billington tonight took part in making a trip to the theater worse for everyone else. If I thought this guy could feel any shame I would say he should be ashamed.

...

If you love movies you wouldn't use your phone during them. Alex Billington is a fraud, a fake movie lover. Drop him an email at Alex@firstshowing.net to let him know what you feel about him pulling out his phone during a movie. And I swear to you that if I am at a screening where Billington uses his phone, he's going to need to buy a new one.
No big deal, you changed your mind I guess, but you were so worked up at the time I'm surprised.

I heartily recommend Lee Frost's Police Woman. Imagine Matthew Holness creating a cop show in the same vein as his Garth Meringhi's Dark Place, that's Police Woman!

I was in my fucking bedroom live tweeting a movie I was just watching, not reviewing. Jesus Christ.

I hope El Capitan isn't too upset to discover that I've also made out with girls while watching movies! And that I've been on the phone! And that I've left the room to make dinner!

I think you might be thinking of two different things.

This is Policewomen directed by Lee Frost: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072006/

This is the Angie Dickinson show Police Woman that caused Gerald Ford to re-schedule a press conference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Police_...29#cite_note-0

I didn't think it was a big deal, anyways, stupid me for thinking you were watching this at a movie theater ...

Sorry Tim, I wasn't that clear. Lee Frost's Policewomen is called Police Woman in the UK and it reminded me of Dark Place in the way it was shot and in it's sense of humour (un/intentionally naff).

I know that there was a Angie Dickinson tv series by the name Police Woman as like any red-blooded male, I would have killed to spend a night with that woman.

Aha, my fault. Well then I must see it.

Devin,

My question was not intended as a criticism, just an honest inquiry for more info. For the record: I see no problem with you twittering from home unless you were somehow causing a distraction for someone else watching with you.

I myself actually live blogged/reviewed JULIE + JULIA while I was watching it by pausing the DVD every time I typed up a comment.

Anyway, just wanted to clarify that

PS I would not make dinner during a movie though if were a movie I'd never seen before. However, I frequently will put on a favorite film in the background while I do other stuff (which does include dinner prep sometimes)
