I'd watch the shit out of that movie.  Imagine her lament song about wanting to go on an adventure.

Best lament song since Jack in Nightmare Before Christmas, easily.

"Look at these peeps,

Wombs made of meat,

Wouldn't you say my collection's complete?

Wouldn't you say I'm the girl, the girl who has everything?"

All she ever does is lay eggs eggs eggs,
And begs begs begs for adventuuuuuurre!
And then one day she’ll cry cry cry
And it’s bye bye bye with the dentuuuuurre!

And then Ripley shows up as this monstrous arrogant Gastonesque figure to just RUIN everything for the beautiful Queen and sing about how great she is at killing Aliens.

"There goes Yutani with a crew like always,

Same old corporation with no soul to sell,

Every spaceship just for me

Since the morning that they came

To this cradle of humanity..."

It'd definitely put an interesting spin on the whole "circle of life" thing.

i endorse this

In the excellent Cloud Atlas novel, there is a segment set in dysoptian Corpocratic Neo-Seoul.

All entertainment is referred to as a disney.

So, I guess he got that one right.

I wonder if this effects any of the not-Netflix or Agent of Shield tv shows.

All I really care is no one does anything to Legion.

FX is part of the deal, so Legion would be part of that.

My guess is that it's fine.

Wouldn't be surprised if Noah Hawley takes a bigger role in all of this going forward, though.

Uh Oh - next up animated remake of Die Hard...

Hades as Hans Gruber

Burst... your... chest, burst your chest, put your ribcage to the test! Slip this appendage down your neck, cherie and we’ll provide the rest!

Holly Gennaro as the next Disney Princess.

As long as there is no mention of "New York".....

Shit...that reminds me, I need to do third round brackets.

Remake Alien with Stitch.

Rebrand Stitch's Escape Ride at Magic Kingdom back to Alien Encounter: Extraterrorestrial and GET RIGHT

Yeah, while I am excited about Doom and FF coming into the MCU, I'm not much excited about the rest of this.

Is Raylan Givens a Disney Prince now?

Come to think of it, this makes the decision to shutter Great Movie Ride even stupider.

We are making Disney Princess jokes left and right, but you are forgetting the biggest one of all:

Or will her light nude scene negate her inevitable ascendance?

I said that in the MCU thread!

Gimme Rose hanging out with Peggy Carter in the 1950s. Make Cal Hockley the secret evil financier behind a super-villain.

But yes, here for Sea Princess Rose Dawson.

Oh please. We all know there's only one animated Titanic movie that will ever be worth a damn:

Too many threads.

Or not enough movie studios.

If Fox still had Point Break rights, Tyler would be a Sea Princess.

Clearly a Disney princess now:

Hard to believe that in just 1 day we're this much closer to a Shadowrun universe.

But Sen. Klobuchar, don't you want us to get the true OT on Blu-Ray?
This is why Dems lose elections.

Call your reps.

Have them insist that the deal will not violate anti-trust laws only if we get the unaltered OT on Blu.

So Bob Iger renewed his contract through 2020 as CEO of Disney. (For God knows what reason he'd been making noises about running for President!)

I wonder if that will push Kevin Feige to start looking outside of Disney for his next job. I mean, he's a (maybe THE) logical candidate to take over as CEO. Now he's got to wait. Really hope Iger sweetened the pot so he sticks around.

The word on the street was that Lasseter was supposed to take over for Iger when Iger's contract was up.

I could see Feige staying in creative control of Marvel, though...

...while running the new Fox.

(Although I think Jason Blum's probably your best bet for Fox.)
