I'm interested in you fellow Chewers opinions on this band. It took a while for their music to grow on me, but after I saw the Whiskey on a Sunday DVD, I was pretty much hooked. Dave King writes some really personal songs, but also isn't afraid to have fun with his songs either. I'm kinda jazzed because I get to go see them at the House of Blues in New Orleans on March 1. So, opinions? Also anyone see them live? Are the live shows as awesome as everyone says?

I just posted a poll on picking a concert for me (last week or so) with Flogging Molly one of the choices. They won the poll, hands down.

Well, to be fair, wasn't the alternative Billy Joel? I'd rather watch my neighbor's family play Rock Band.

But more to the point, Flogging Molly's one not to miss.

To be fair, the alternative was Billy Joel/Elton John. A worthwhile combination. Truly. Don't be hatin'.

Nothing against Elton-- saw him a couple times back in the day, though I doubt I'd bother today.
