See?  Singer isn't such a nice guy after all.  It took him a DAY to send out a free game to somebody he only virtually knows because of "guests" at his house.

What a jerk.

I'm not sure where to put this, but since it does involve games in some respects I'll just drop it in here.

Best buy is having a sale on iTunes gift cards, pay $85 for a $100, $42.50 for a $50, ect... I went out and got a few $100 cards because I do intend to buy Final Cut Pro X and this way I at least get $45 off my purchase because iTunes credit also shows up as credit in the Mac App store.

Also Best Buy is selling 12 month Xbox Live Gold subscription cards for $39.99
post #1055 of 1116

Steam has all the Assassin's Creed games in a bundle for $60.  The first two are only five bucks each.  And the two Dead Space games are the same price.

Very cool thing you did there Singer.

$16 for Deus Ex: Human Revoulution on Steam is a fucking steal. A triple-A title that's on virtually everyone's top-ten list for 2011. If you were on the fence, hop off now. You've got about an hour and a half left.

Get it price-checked(it's not marked very well), but Best Buy is still selling Metroid: Other M for $4.99.

Same for MOTORSTORM: APOCALYPSE and GOLDEN SUN DS.  I ordered the latter yesterday.

Encore day on the STEAM sale.  Another day of temptation from $40 Skyrim...

If anyone plans on buying anything on Steam in the near future, leave a message on the CHUD group page. Just might happen that one of us has a coupon for whatever your purchasing.

I have a VALVE half-off coupon, if anyone needs that.  But who doesn't have all the VALVE games, right?

Best Buy is doing B2G2 Free on used games this week.  Sweetness of the deal depends heavily on what they've got in stock at your store, of course, but it could yield treasure if you're lucky.

Anyone with stray Club Nintendo points lying about, and leftover charity for their neglected Wii, they finally updated the downloadable games list with--brace yourself--SHIT PEOPLE WANT TO PLAY.

Dr. Mario Online is 100 coins. Majora's Mask is 150. Go now.

I seem to recall an email from club Nintendo saying all my points got reset last year. There was nothing I wanted so I just let them go. I'll look to see if they're still there.

*EDIT- Registered 2 games(one of which I SWEAR I registered before) and did the 2 piddly surveys attached and got enough for Dr. Mario. Took like two minutes. Sweet.

Ok folks, turns out I have an extra copy of the Digital Deluxe version of Star Wars: The Old Republic. It's up for grabs. Make your case.

Man, I know it's early on a Saturday, but nobody wants a free deluxe SWOTR?

Ok, bump. FREE GAME, people. a $79.00 value! Just for being a Chewer! Star Wars! Lightsabers! Effeminate androids!

EDIT: You people suck.

REALLY, PEOPLE? Even if you don't want to subscribe to an MMO, you get one month free. And this is the DELUXE package, with some in-game bonuses. I stupidly bought two copies somehow when I got this for my roommate. Now's your chance to luxuriate in an old man's credit card stupidity.

I would, but I just got Arkham City and Skyrim recently, so I wouldn't have time to play it.  Better someone that would actually use it.  But you still get kudos, for what they're worth.

I'll preface this by saying that it's well within my means to buy it Jacob, and I was planning on getting it for myself before the end of the month, so if there are any more deserving chewers who want it, punt it along to them. My levels of need for the game at this point are not critical, but if nobody else wants it I'll take it off your hands. :)

Maybe we can trade for something? I'd be happy to gift you something on the digital distribution service of your choice...

Thanks, man. I never thought it'd be this hard to give away a great game in this economy. I BLAME OBAMA!

CountZero, you're on. since I don't know you, I'm gonna give it 30 more minutes to see if a Chewer I'm familiar with wants it (no offense). If no one else responds it's yours. The damn thing is burning a hole in my pocket.

No worries Jacob. I know all about post counts and stuff. I've been a member since 2004 tho and I frequent the gaming section (and the Salma Hayek thread... ahem) on a daily basis. I lend my ear to all and my voice to few on here... IE: I'm pretty much a lurker.

If anyone else wants it I don't have a problem with stepping aside.

I've already gotten a sweet game from you, Jacob.  I just wanted to ask though... is it for the PS3?  Hahahahahahah

With all the games I gave to Chewers this Christmas, you'd think I'd have more Rep.

OK, CountZero it is. Check your PMs. Follow the directions. Sign-up is a convoluted affair (as has been remarked on in the SWTOR thread), but please let me know when you're signed up, or if you have any problems.

PM sent, CountZero. And thanks, guys, for repping me after that blatant plea.

YOU JUST DID THIS FOR THE REPS?????

I'm loving Sonic Generations, by the way.  Thanks again!

Honest, sincere, and humble thanks Jacob. Never thought that as I lurked the boards over my morning coffee that I would be presented with such a wonderful gift.

Your generosity is truly astonishing sir. I salute you!

It's my pleasure. I honestly enjoy sharing my hobby with like-minded people. You're the sons I never wanted.

In an effort to pay it forward, I'd like to offer a copy of Renegade Ops on Steam to the first chewer to post their Steam username here. One small proviso though, if Jacob wants it he gets it regardless of the order of the replies.

It's Christmas every day in the Cheap Ass Gamer thread!

To fit my equally puerile chud name here's my steam tag: jesus_eats_cats

Guess I'll join in on this gifting spree as well.

If your that one dude in the world who hasn't played Half Life 2 yet, join the CHUD Steam group and shoot me a message. I have a copy of The Orange Box waiting for you.

Just picked up the Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate bundle and Dragon Age 2 from Amazon for $12.  Since I lost my PS3 save for DA:O (and I wished I'd bought the PS3 version as I was playing it) and haven't played DA2 yet, figured it was worth a few bucks.

Rayman Origins (for the PS3 at least) is currently on sale for $19.99 at Toys R' Us.  It's 29.99 on Amazon right now.

I GOT MINE!

This Friday and Saturday, Hastings are going to have their used 360 games ($19.99 or less) buy one, get one for $1.

GOG is doing a "Buy one, get one free" sale this week on D&D titles...which includes Planescape:Torment, both complete Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale I & II and more; plus, you get Temple of Elemental Evil as a gift for any purchase.

Well I had to play Planescape: Torment at some point, didn't I? Downloading it now, along with Baldur's Gate 2. Thanks for the heads-up, ryoken!

Thanks, but lets see how thankful you'll be when both those games will make you raise the bar when it comes to story and characters in videogames; hope you enjoy the experience.

Arkham City is $30 at Best Buy, not sure if only today or all week. I picked it up.

Origin (an EA joint) is having a 1/2 off sale on most of their titles--Arkham City is $25, I think.  Battlefield 3 is $30, etc.

Forza 4 is $40 at Best Buy this week.  I snagged it and, goddamn, it is beautiful.

I've been turning off steam and turning it on. Every time I do I get a new AssCreed Revelations coupon...
Amazon Buy 2 get 1 Free. My gaming plate is still full from all of last fall/winters releases.

GOG is giving away the original Fallout for free for the next two days

I'm not sure if it's a screw up on their site or what but Gamestop has Assassin's Creed Revelations on PS3 and 360 new for $19.99. The used copies are still $49.99 so yeah...no idea what's up with it but I grabbed a copy. It was around $23 with snail mail.

Aussie Chewers: JB HiFi are doing a pretty decent '2 for $40' deal at the moment. Picked up A.C. Brotherhood and Enslaved, which at 20 bucks each is pretty damned good.

They are selling it at Best Buy for the same price, if you don't feel like waiting for shipping.

This weekend, GoG is having a 50% discount on all their Interplay titles; that means you can get all 3 Fallout games form 10 bucks.
