Target doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason to the way they discount and add games to "clearance". I have to admit though, it makes browsing the shelves a bit of fun though as I never know what is going to have a big read sticker on it at any given time. It reminds me of the mid/late 80's going to the flea market on Saturdays and sifting through box after box of comic books with my fingers crossed.

There's some logic to it, but it is unfortunately not synchronized from store to store. You can track certain trends, though. Once a game gets clearanced somewhere, it WILL get clearanced at other stores. When that happens may vary, though. The rate at which the prices drop may vary, as well, but it tends to be one drop per ~3 weeks or so. Usually 30% off, then 50, then 75. After 75% off for a while, they ship them off to Goodwill. The drops seem to happen on Mondays at many stores, but this is not absolute.
You should also be looking for an endcap near the games department that has most of their clearanced stuff on it. They'll sometimes have a few red tags in the glass cases, but those are less common than the endcap stashes.
