The Witcher: DC is $28 on Steam. No excuse for me to keep avoiding it.

If you haven't already bought it, regular editions of The Witcher are $15 bucks on newegg with free shipping. As far as i know all the updates come as free patches.

Target seems to be purging their copies of Madworld on Wii. $20.98. If you have a Wii and like violence, you could do worse.
Target doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason to the way they discount and add games to "clearance". I have to admit though, it makes browsing the shelves a bit of fun though as I never know what is going to have a big read sticker on it at any given time. It reminds me of the mid/late 80's going to the flea market on Saturdays and sifting through box after box of comic books with my fingers crossed.

I picked up that Riddick game for the 360 for $15 at Target last week; it could suck but at least I will finally get to play the original Butcher Bay for the Xbox.

There's some logic to it, but it is unfortunately not synchronized from store to store. You can track certain trends, though. Once a game gets clearanced somewhere, it WILL get clearanced at other stores. When that happens may vary, though. The rate at which the prices drop may vary, as well, but it tends to be one drop per ~3 weeks or so. Usually 30% off, then 50, then 75. After 75% off for a while, they ship them off to Goodwill. The drops seem to happen on Mondays at many stores, but this is not absolute.

You should also be looking for an endcap near the games department that has most of their clearanced stuff on it. They'll sometimes have a few red tags in the glass cases, but those are less common than the endcap stashes.

It's still solid, but I dont know whether the game's just aged or Atari changed something vital in the process, but something is different with the way Butcher Bay plays, and not necessarily better.

Dark Athena, I might add, just sucks.

On topic: Rock Revolution got price dropped to $5 last week. It's gone beyond being a clearance. Now it's just sad.

Friends, ChronoTrigger DS is on clearance at TRU for $10. Get 'em while they last!

(Rondo of Swords, too, if you're interested, and I was.)

There were at least two dozen copies at Best Buy the other day. I'm almost tempted to say "Poor Konami".

I picked up MadWorld on the clearance mrdrow mentioned. Twenty bucks is about the right price for the game. This camera can go screw.
Ended up picking up Madworld, Target dropped it down to $14.95

Ignore this. It was supposed to be the XBL "Deal of the Week" but alas, it isn't. A stupid FIFA '09 DLC is the deal instead. I don't understand the point with FIFA 10 right around the corner but what does EA do that I understand? Not much.

Gog.com is going to be offering all six Might and Magic games for $9.99. That's the straight role-playing games, not the Heroes of strategy games. Now if they could do this with Wizardry, Bard's Tale and Ultima....

I didn't even like this demo and suddenly I'm looking for $16 more dollars to spend to qualify for free shipping.

That Tatooine level hit last week too... although of course it's the same price as the game.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (XBox 360) is on sale at Big Lots for $20. It comes with the Aerosmith guitar (blech) but still a pretty good deal.

Up until a day ago this included pre-orders. I was gonna get Dragon Age and Modern Warfare 2. Now they changed it. Bullshit!

Dead Space is a Platinum Hit now on 360.

Me and that game have unfinished business.

Having just finished it last night, I can confidently say that, aside from Silent Hill 2 (which is in a class all by itself) it's the best survival horror game I've ever played.
So Best Buy wrapped up their buy a 360 game get the second half off.

Looks like starting today they're offering the same thing for PS3 games...

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic" just hit steam for $9.99.
That remains one of the best games I've ever played. Probably feels kinda clunky these days, but I might just throw down ten bucks to try again. I've no idea where those disks are now.
Played through that sucker just last year on 360. With maybe 2 or 3 exceptions, I would drop just about every other game on my shelf on a fire for another RPG to be as satisfying as KOTOR 1.

I wouldnt go THAT far, but yeah, its truly one of the greatest RPG's ever made.
What I wouldnt give for Planescape: Torment to get the Steam treatment, dammit. (I own the 4 disc version and use the "installed discs" trick, but I really would love a non disc swapping version).

Target clearance end cap. Terminator Salvation for both Xbox and PS3 with a price of $12.25. Multiple copies of each available, Houston on the corner of FM1960 and Cutten Rd.
If they have it in stock, you can now get the original Wii Fit bundle for $50 at CostCo. That's half the price of the new Wii Fit Plus set.

Buy 2, get 1 free(equal or lesser value, of course) on all games(on all systems) at Toy R Us this week.

I'm not sure if you can mix or match games from different systems though.

YMMV, but there's rumor going around a lot of Best Buys are price matching this.

Of course the only games left in stock are absolutely terrible. My TRU only got in 5 copies of uncharted. WTF.

Usually they offer rain checks for sales like this. That doesn't get the games in your hands today, though.

I see friends playing this often on Steam, anybody care to give me a reason it wouldn't be worth 10 bucks to try out?
If you're dying for a Diablo clone, Titan Quest is pretty good. It's worth $10, but it's nowhere near as good as either Diablo I or II. I gave up on it at some point after getting to Egypt - I recall the game spamming me with shitty item drops and getting really bored with the upgrade system.

Showing as $20 to me?

Because the sale was only on Monday for that game.

He posted it the wrong day, because he thought it was a weeklong sale on that game. It's a THQ sale this week on Steam. Monday was Titan Quest, yesterday I think was Company of Heroes titles. Don't know what today is.

Try pricematching the B2G1 deal at Best Buy (depends on the manager, but it can be done)

To celebrate its one-year aniversary, 2D Boy is letting you pay your own price for World of Goo. It normally sold for $20, but you can get it for a penny of you're a really cheap bastard. Sale goes for a few more days (ends Sunday 10/18, I think.)
