You are abusing of a high metabolic rate that can turn whatever junk into calories, Cleo. I used to do the same. Lohan is a different case. White powder or whatever stuff she is into is the responsible. Even if she is a prime example and she is clean...she all over the mass media and is a bad example. She is still kinda attractive due to her boobs. Her skin is doomed too.

You're super young. Once you hit 30 your body will turn against you. Trust me on this.

It's also what is so disappointing about LiLo. She is what, like, 23, and looks like she twice that. I can't imagine what her body will look like once she actually hits that age.

Wouldn't be so sure - my mum's crazy skinny and she's 60 years old with three kids. She doesn't eat junk food, but she doesn't diet either. I think it's a family thing.

Like I said, LiLo definitely has some problems. She often looks miserable, and she's got some seriously bad lifestyle habits. I just don't like seeing people jump on her for her weight. Even if it's not her natural size it's hardly the biggest of her problems, and it does seem like bitterness or people just looking for something to criticise.

JESUS! Now that I've had those scars on her arms pointed out to me I don't think I will ever NOT look for them in her pictures. For some reason this makes me very, very sad.

Is she still supposed to be in that Machete movie? Or did she get dropped from it? Or since it's Rodriguez, did she only shoot for two days and go home?

I haven't posted about Lindsay in awhile.

Lindsay is 23, looks 43 and acts like she’s 13. Which is why she looks 43.


Also, Linds has been grooming her lil sis (age 15), taking her to clubs til the wee hours of the morning and dressing her like this...

It saddens me when anyone has family fail them. But yeah, Lindsay's such a high profile person its baffling, and fascinating, its gone on this long. Most celebrities just go all the way off the deep end into a depraved existence (Tom Sizemore, I'm looking at you) or grow the fuck up and clean their act up. Nicole Richie, who did way harder drugs and lost way more weight, is sober and married with kids now. And fucktards like the judge who let Lindsay get off scotfree for blatantly ignoring her probation doesn't help things. I hate to say it, but Linds needs to be put on lockdown like Britney. People may question Brit's dad's tactics, but she looks amazingly healthy now, has a successful tour (yeah, I know probably dad's main motivation), and has her kids back.

Sure but surely at a certain point this young ladies life becomes her responsibility, regardless of how fucking atrocious her parents are (and I happily agree with you that they are).

Maybe this is a difference in cultural outlook between your country and mine, but in the states there seems to be a much heavier emphasis when people descend into these kinds of spirals on help coming from without rather than from within, of the people in question being seen and treated as victims that are at the mercy of their urges rather than grownups making conscious (if flawed) decisions.

The emphasis seems to be on interventions and rehabs, on outside forces controlling these base urges of the person in question as if they're a child with no willpower of their own rather than being told to either sort it the fuck out or reap the whirlwind they've made for themselves.

I dunno, I'm probably rambling - I find it interesting tho.

Well, I think the problems started well before she became an "adult" so there's some responsibility on her caregivers for not proving a stable and nurturing environment. That said, those aren't requisites for having a happy life. There are tons of stories of people who seemingly have it all who go on to totally fuck up their lives.

I personally think THE only way she will get better is if she confronts the issues she is dealing with mentally. Otherwise, as soon as something bad happens in her lide, she'll just go back to what she's always done and numb her pain with booze and drugs. It's clear her relationship with her dad is a huge part of the problem (she's written a song about it, blasted him in the tabloids, and recently obtained a restraining order) and her mom doing lines of blow with her in clubs does not help much either. The one person she is reaching out to right now (her ex-Samantha Ronson) wants nothing to do with her. So I feel like she's got no one. I kinda just want to slap her upside the head and tell her to straighten the fuck up. At some she's gotta realize she's living such a hollow existence. But I guess she does, hence the cutting. It's just sad.

But the complexity of human emotion means that I can feel for her plight, yet feel as you do that she holds some responsibility for what is happening. She's been given plenty of opportunities to clean her act up and she basically made her own grave. I'm pissed at the entitlement she feels knowing that she can walk away from jail time after back to back DUI's, one of which she was arrested with a full bag of coke in her pocket, and ignoring her probation terms. There are jails filled with Black men in NYS prisons for possession weed!!!

So I post about Linds out of morbid curiosity of how it came to this way, why its allowed to continue, and to see where its going.
