Random doodles - Page 2

Sorry Cap, until you can draw chewers like nooj, these are all meaningless!

(they are great though)
Thanks!

He's doing a good job at it, no need to replicate :-)

You could pick a killer bee of course. Or as a bonus pick a killer bee and your Chewer victim! For example, the strangler one reminds me of a couple of flame wars we've had on the boards.

We'll see who brings in more honey!

Seriously, I love these.

I admit, the bee holding the cartoon bomb got me. So cute.

I was just thinking the same thing about yours.

Wu-Tang Clan ain't nothin to fuck with! Bees in a Bee Car are awesome.

I tried uploading some of my doodles, but they are in massive format, and broke the thread. However, you can see a few of them at:

I have hundreds of these, but the one of Saddam is one of my favourites. They are perhaps not up to par with some of these other epic doodles on display; strangely enough, they serve to enhance my note-taking in class. Killer Swan is one of the greatest works of art of our generation - props.

Between this and the penguin drawings, Cap, I'm loving your style. Feel free to pick on Canada whenever you want. I'll call off the RCMP, huskies and rabid Inuits.

The ninja one would make an awesome tattoo.
Killer Bees and Swan Attacks Boat are both like, 30 dimensions of awesome.

That's science - not baseless hyperbole!

Keep em up guys!

Thanks guys, I've been kind of in the mood of drawing cute animals doing horrible things.

As for rabid Inuits, I found this old sketch that I'm pretty embarrassed about;

I love the little devil on Saddam's shoulder! These are great notes, the pattern on that red ink one is too awesome. You need to make sure you save these.

I find that I can pay more attention during meetings and classes while drawing, but people always would interpret it as me not having any interest in what they were saying.

I doodled a mermaid. Mermaids are creepy.

Cute! And creepy!

And you made a mermaid... woman in the middle... fish on top and bottom. Sexy!
I love the forehead-mouth, and the thumbs up!
You know, I just assumed that the creature was arching its back and looking upside down...

Don't feel like flooding the thread, so I'll just say good stuff here, and put up a link to my blog where I've been posting up recent drawings.

Mermaids must be destroyed!

Killer Croc pencil art is awesome!
Frank Sinestro is terrific.
Thanks guys!
Croc and Grundy look awesome.

I doodled a bad guy. Should have given him pants in retrospect.

I like the spooky/sparse swamp behind Grundy.
I've got quite a few back logged.

I'll post groups of a few periodically.

A doodle of me all frazzled with my ice cream smushed in my shirt.

Laser Blast.

I figure in the show I'm slowly working on someone tells me to get off my high horse, cut to me and the horse giggling.

One of the gross people that come into work.
I'm pretty proud of this.

Scary monsters and super creeps...

Pen doodles I finally scanned.

A friend told me he was planning to dress up as Wikus for Halloween, which got me to do a quick doodle.
did this one the other night.

Some kind of rendition of Tom Waits.
I do mainly animals and wildlife stuff, but a friend of mine just asked me if I was up for some creature stuff for a short he's putting together. Here's a drawing I did fairly recently...

That ain't no doodle!

That's fantastic.
Sometimes I feel like a pretty good cartoonist and then I come into this thread and realize I should put my pencil down and slowly back away.
Cheers mcnooj, your anatomical knowledge is fantastic judging by your stuff on the first page... you do animation by any chance? Love the Afrikaans swearing on the Wikus doodle as well!

Mattioli, being relatively new to this place I only just stumbled across this thread today and was completely blown away by the quality of draughtmanship on display... 'tis inspiring, stick yer doodles up sir!

Mine was actually commissioned, hence it is more of a slick, finished pencil study...but I intend to do more doodles and slap 'em up here.

Yeah, maybe I will. And then I'll run away from this thread and hide. [McFly]I... I just can't take that kind of rejection [/McFly]

We didn't start where we're at now, only thing to do is draw more and more and MORE!
Yay for colour!

True the last one looks less doodled, but honestly it was just some fairly simple photoshop fun.
I doodled a Snifit and some zombies. I know zombies are so five minutes ago but they're really fun to draw. Please don't hit me!

BrundleFlyboy
you have some serious chops on display at your Flikr stream thing. Kudos. I'm curious, do you ever work from imagination?

I was thinking the same thing about your own stuff.

Super dig your style.
Just ran into this thread. Some awesome stuff on here. I really dig the sense of humour on display, Zweit.
I love looking at all this stuff, and was blown away by the skill and creativity going on here.

Drawing was never my forte. My mind just can't really comprehend how to make something 2d look 3d...

On the other hand give me some clay and tell me to go wild and I'll produce some amazingly bizarre stuff. From this I deduce that my brain was built to expend it's creativity purely in 3d, and the written word.

Sometimes though, I really wish drawing would come naturally to me. It is so much more portable than sculpture, and it doesn't have to obey the common laws of gravity.
This is as imaginative a monster as I can conjure up. Damned TV. It's ruined my ability to... um... uh... yuh. I can't wait for this Friday to end.

Just been checking out your stuff on your site... great concept style you have there Zweit... cheers for checking out my animal/wildlife stuff; need to get me a site set up instead of just a Flickr page.

Anyway, I have to admit, except for the odd thing I haven't drawn characters and monsters from me own brain pan for some time now. Decided to have a crack at the Concept challenge set up here though. If nothing else, I thought it would be good exercise for freestylin' and flaring up the imagination.

Done a page today idly...I have an idea for that monster challenge but it is gonna take a fair few more loose doodly pages like this before I find me feet again. Anyway, here's a page of monster doodles...

I drew this the other night whilst I was trippin,
I see it as me taking my face/mask off and letting all the crazy spill out.

Was scrounging around last night and decided to scan any unfinished and abandoned whosits and whatsits I came across...

No idea on this one...

Quick sketch for a sculpture I was planning on making but never got around to...

Edgar Allan Foe...

Wonderful Self Portrait.
Great stuff, 'Phib. Your work reminds me a little of Wayne Barlowe.

Tigeroovy, why didn't you contribute to the Universal monster contest?
You know, I wanted to contribute something, but I couldn't really think of what I wanted to post, or was either too lazy to take a stab at the paper.

What can I say?

Expect to see some sort of contribution or another provided there are other contest dealies.
