He doesn't necessarily have to channel Dale Carnegie, but that came across as pretty unprofessional.

The comments for the vid are, as you'd expect, hilariously boneheaded. I imagine we'll see a another version of this with that God-awful Kid Rock song mixed in before too long.

Nice to see that Uncle Sam continues his grand tradition of hiring only the best and brightest...

How much fun was he having? Thank God all I did was sit in an OP for 7-10 days at a time, shit in baggies, and pee in coffee tins.

What exactly was unprofessional about that? Sometimes that sort of "dressing down" is what a situation requires.

You have to remember that the men he was addressing were not professional soldiers. The advisor did not take that into account, and it shows. When you speak to civilians, you talk to them like civilians. You don't instantly assume that Billy Bob or Sammy Joe has gone through the basic infantry course at Ft. Benning... you teach them in ways they will understand. That's the first thing he should have learned... or most importantly, the first thing his commander should have taught him.

This bozo is fairly typical of the new breed of professional soldier. Too cocky. Too sure of himself. And bozos like this are usually in command positions, which puts good troops in danger.

I'm glad I retired when I did...
