This is the best news for me this year. Fucking finally. God it's great to see that band name amongst those others.

Thats awesome. I never knew Angel Dust was considered a failure, I always liked it. Man this is amazing news all around, I cannot wait to catch their London dates, but my main problem will be finding someone to watch this with, I know not a single fan asides from myself.

And are they recroding a new album, or will they be reuniting simply to play a few shows ala Rage Against the Machine.

Nabster, there are amazing bootlegs out there from the Angel Dust-era with really, really out there stage banter from Patton. The one I have has him exhorting the crowd to throw all of their chairs on stage so that he can make a "chair farm." There's some other weirdness on there too, but that one really sticks in my memory.

When I actually saw them during the Angel Dust tour, I guess he liked our crowd or something, because it was a straightforward, awesome set.

In case you want to go retro with some FNM gear. Their shop is back open.

FNM T-shirts

Nice gold chain pimp shirts.

First show at Brixton in two days... curious to hear the reactions. Would love to get a soundboard recording from one of the festival shows. Their 93 Pheonix Festival recording is incredible.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if they did a new album.

Yeah, that would be great. Or a live DVD, either way.

I was there:-)

Hi Guys, I was there last night and it was awsome to say the least.
I never thought that I would ever get to see FNM (got into them around King for a day... and didn't get a chance to see 'em before they broke up).

The intro was aswome when they performed the "reunited?" cover - was quite touching actualy:-).

Pattons voice was as good as ever and he was just as crazy as ever; I think he nearly make the whole audiance deaf during many of his manic screams down the mike (the vocals were pretty loud to start off with!) - also, he seemed in genuinly high spirits and glad to be back.
The rest of the band played great as well, although I get the feeling they will ofcourse get tighter the more shows they play (Patton even joked about Mike Bordin and said something like "our drummer's getting lazy; he only wants to play ballads....".

Managed to buy a King for a day... t-shirt outside aswell (not an official one by the looks of it but surprisingly good quality).

Cool thing is, I'm on holiday in Berlin next week and by coincidence (or fate...;_) FNM are playing in Tuesday - so i got a ticket:-). They've not been around in 11 years or so and I now get to se them play twice in a fortnight!.

I'm a musician (guitar player mainly) and in a band and so the gig was realy inspiring for me.

I never got to see Soundgarden (another of my fav bands) , but I was remarking to my freinds that FNM are one of the only bands that haven't been sullied by solo jaunts etc; these tunes have not really been played by the guys outside of FNM I believe.(don't get me wrong, I loved Cornells' Euphoria morning; but the second album was pretty weak and when I went to see him tour the album he mainly played SG and Audioslave tunes with session players). If Soundgarden got back together now, it just wouldn't be as good; with FNM it feels like they are 100% on it and doing it for the right reasons.
I was lucky enough to see Rage against the machine the other year though- also awsome, however I didn't get as much of a good vibe off of the band as I did with FNM.

They are apparently releaseing new shirts. Normally, I don't get worked up about a shirt, but this is a pretty great design...

This is very exciting stuff. Thanks for all the video links.

That tshirt link goes to a 404, RCA. Maybe they moved/removed it?

I really wish they had done an Awesome! I Fuckin' Shot That!-type deal with this, although the logistics would have been a pain in the ass. Hopefully someone professionally recorded it.

Thanks for the links Eyeball Kid.

Their show tonight in Donington is being streamed live at this site.

Just watched the Download Fest video someone ripped from the live stream. Fucking fantastic. They were running on fumes when I saw them live, so fucking bored. This time they were chock full of energy. Damn I wish I had been there.
The encore was amazing. Glad they did the Vangelis/Stripsearch bit for this show as well.

The soundmix is pretty damn solid for them too, Patton could have been dialed down a notch, and guitars could have been bumped up a tad, but that's how they always mix live for some reason.

The show is out and about on the torrents, etc. I'm hoping for a DVD release of some sort. This doesn't happen every day.

I can't believe they made Lady GaGa's Poker Face sound good.
Probably available all over the place but you can see the whole set in great quality here:

http://metalinjection.net/tv/view/31...009-entire-set

Even if they're only doing it for the cash they sounds great and it really drives home how well their catalogue stands up. I particularly like how plenty of attention is given to every era of the band, even the pre-Patton stuff.

November 1st. Buenos Aires!

See you all there (or not)

If anyone has VH1 Classic, That Metal Show has a special covering the Download Festival, including three live songs from Faith No More (Land of Sunshine, Introduce Yourself, Easy.)

Did you know that Chuck Mosley released an new album Yesterday??

I'm listening to the song The Enabler with Johnathan Davis of Korn

It's not awful. I've always been a Mike Patton fan and bought "We Care A Lot" back in the day not realizing Mosley was the lead singer at the time. Of course I sold that CD because I only liked about 3 songs on the album.

but its good to know that Mosley is working again.
Also funny to hear that they invited Chuck over to Europe to sing a duet onstage with Patton for one of their shows, but passport problems got in the way. Maybe if a US tour pans out we'll see it!

Fun fact: Roddy appears on Mosley's new album.

They played Pukkelpop in Belgium, full stream from the stage video screens is already online in its entirety (as we speak, won't vouch for how long though):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyHj6_cmRRE (for the 1st part)

Video resolution is so so, but good enough, and sound is very clear. Also you can tell at this point they've been touring the show, and gotten their chops back- I thought the renditions were way ahead of the Download festival. Must've been some of the best singing I've ever heard from Patton, no mean feat (I've seen lots of shows with lots of different projects).

Also, he was on a roll, back in his old shitkicker mode. At one point he got to sneering at the VIP section, moments later he jumped right in and kicked those fuckers' butt. You can see the entire incident here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-zJR5_3kjc

Newsflash: Mike Patton still the classiest no-bullshit-please dude in the universe.

Check out the massive stage dive at 2:41. Really shook Patton up. Seems the guy broke his jaw and lost some teeth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eU3lX...eature=related

Hahaha that guy hit nothing but floor. You would think he'd make sure people would be ready for him, at least.

Cool Patton actually went down to check on the guy, I'm not sure how most band-members would react.

Floor & steel rail, to be exact.
