In search of musical guidance...

I'm hoping anyone here can offer some advice on music selection.

I'm helping a friend out with a short film he's shooting on his Canon 5D MkII as a technical exercise. It's supposed to be around 1:30 to 2 minute short that shows 2 people chatting online and meeting later.

When it comes to music, I'm woefully ignorant about what's out there. My friend also seems to be at a loss for what to lay under the footage in order to help pace the short. So I was hoping some Chewers could make some suggestions.

The tone of the piece could vary at this point, but right now we're leaning towards something fast, upbeat, and mellow at the same time. He seems to kinda like the sound of Up Against the Wall by Peter Bjorn and John.

I posted this in the Music section too.

It's really something you need to decide for yourself by searching as much music as you possibly can and matching it up to the mood of the footage, the feeling you want to evoke etc. Since it's just a tech exercise I'm going to assume you're okay with using anything.

As far as fast upbeat and mellow this is the first thing I thought of. I'm assuming this meeting is of a romantic You've Got Mail kinda vibe? Sounds like you have what you want pretty pegged with Up Against The Wall. Go with it.

Yeah, the idea is to really push the relationship online while using as little reference to what they're typing as possible.

It does seem like I may have it pretty well visualized with Up Against the Wall, but I really want to stay open to other choices, moods, and tones. It's also an opportunity to see what else is out there I'm missing.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll point my friend towards it.
