For anyone wondering why I've been playing this- I've got a review coming.

Funny to play this after Onechanbara a couple weeks ago, because it's almost the same game. Scantily clad girl fighting monsters with a sword (gunblades, in this case.) This time with an anime style and much more polished gameplay.

It's not bad, but it's about as standard as you can get. Anyone else play it?

I haven't played it yet, but I did get an X-Blades T-Shirt at the NYCC... Once in a while a decent enough mindless action game fits the bill. My first thoughts when seeing it at the convention was that the main character needed more armor besides the almost skin colored skin tight pants she was wearing. Then I realized that she was indeed wearing no pants at all and was deeply concerned for her well being. She is either really brave, or really stupid.

I actually saw you playing the other day, and have been anxiously awaiting your review. Maybe it was the enormous number of screenshots that Destructoid posted, but I have a passing interest in X-Blades. If you like it Alex, and the price point hits $30, I could see it being a decent diversion.

Alex Riviello, It depends on what you mean by standard. To me it is just the opposite. X-Blades is a classic 80's hack n' slash, where after clearing the room of all the enemies, you fight alot more as the game goes. X-Blades and Onechanbara are both hack n' slash games but Onechanbara doesn't compare to X-Blades in terms of graphics. both are fun but different enough, that I would recommend both.

When I saw you were playing this on Live, I inmediatly though "Review's going to be a blast", Alex. Looking foward to it.
Zero interest in this one, and havent heard any good things about it either...hell, even a hack n slash "Devil May Cry/Samurai Warriors/Warriors orochi" whore like me cant muster any interest in this one.

Alex, speaking of beat 'em ups, have you played ninja blade yet?

Its like the bastard child of ninja gaiden and god of war.
