Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard

Who bought it? I've been looking for this game everywhere, yet I can't seem to find anyone that's actually played it.

What do you make of it, fellow gaming chewers?

I saw clips of it, I get the idea of it. I'm just leery of any game trying to have parodies of gaming archetypes. Although the battle with the super-adroygenous RPG character who only can battle in turns and speak in text was a nice idea.

Played it, will be selling it towards Resident Evil 5.

Not impressed with what I got to play.

It's occasionally funny with the nods to other games and eras. Gameplay is generic shootem up similar to the 50 Cent game. This also carries over to the game engine and lack of polish with the level design seeming kind of bland, like Stranglehold.

Worse though are the crashes and controller issues I'm encountering. Crashing occurs when you die or after a cut scene sequence...control issues are a bit weird in that your character will just start strafing left on his own.

Very unpolished game. A rental so far.

How are Doogie and GOB in this? Their voice talent is the only interesting aspect of the game for me.

Wow, holy fucking shit...

I crashed fighting one of the bosses before posting my initial thoughts. I reboot and attempt to load my save file. It loads into a black screen crash.

Microsoft's standards team or D3's QA team didn't catch this. What the fuck.

The aiming and firing mechanisms are fucked. You can hit someone dead-on and if the character hasn't loaded yet and then fired...it counts for nothing.

Fuck this game.

I'm at the level 4 hide from the sniper bit. I know you're suppose to use the run to cover feature...except there's a point where they give you zero cover points when ascending some stairs. Head popped open everytime.

This is almost as infuriating as that one level in Call of Juarez where dudes 2 miles away could nail you with their shotguns.

When did this come out? I saw several used copies already at Gamestop when I bought Madworld, not a good sign I guess.
