Thief: Xbox version

I tried the search function, but gave up. If a thread on this exists, I can't find it.

Is the game good?
Does the backwards compatibility work on the 360 (sounds like a somewhat buggy game to begin with).

Any info appreciated.

Thief: Deadly Shadows is worth playing for Cradle alone. I'm sure you'll really get into it, backwards compatibility is something I'm not sure of as the usual lists don't seem to list it at all.

Based on the James Caan/Michael Mann movie?

I'm really worried about the technical aspects of it. Some sites say good, some say bad. For five bucks I guess I'll chance it.

It really is brilliant Overlord, it's by the guy who programmed the Assassin's sections of Oblivion and has a similar sensibility in creating grim and yet oddly amusing scenarios whilst also being oddly disquieting.

Hmm...the Assassin's Quests in Oblivion were excellent, and I wish I had done them earlier in the game. I think that this designer had a hand in the Fort Frolic sections of Bioshock, which was mentioned in the Bioshock 2 thread, and is why I began looking for an Xbox Thief game in the first place.

I just hope it works.

Be sure to let us know! I accidentally clicked the link to this thread (meant to hit the one for Bioshock 2, incidentally) and now I want to play the game, myself -

- That comment from Spike is what done it.

Yes, it's playable on 360.

I'm not one for Fantasy worlds as such but the lore of the Thief games is brilliant, probably one of the most interesting game worlds since the Soul Reaver series.

See, now I have to play it - I fucking love Soul Reaver. Damn, now there's a game that could do with an update.

Spike, you bastard, you're making my already broke ass want to go buy things I cannot afford!

I played the Thief series on PC and really enjoyed it, but on the other hand I do have a big grudge against torches and this is the only game that lets me get my rocks off by extinguishing them with water arrows.

..what?

Thief: Deadly Shadows does work on the 360 but, unless there's been an update, only problem I've experienced is that there is a graphical glitch where the beams of light shining thru windows can be seen everywhere like it's pasted to the screen. Gets a little annoying but other than that it plays fine.
