The Peter Jason Appreciation Thread

I was just watching my dvd of John Carpenter's Body Bags, and Peter Jason does so much with what is just about two minutes of screen time. He whoops it up laughing, and just looks like he's having fun. Loved seeing him as a Carpenter stock actor, much like Robert Carradine, and his role on Deadwood was hilarious and sad. Any time he pops up in a film, I know it's going to be decent, even Alien Apocalypse where he played the President.

He has my vote for best commercial for his T-Mobile bit.

I once bought a copy of ALIEN APOCALYPSE. I keep on the top of my dvds, so if an apartment fire ever breaks out, I can chunk it in the fire and get my money back from the insurance people.

Ah, one of the best character actors with two first names. I think the first thing I ever saw him in was Brewster's Millions. Checking imdb, he is set to appear in the next Transformers movie.

The great thing about Jason is the guy is prone to popping up just about anywhere. He had a cute appearance as a kooky coroner in that otherwise disappointing Jersey Devil movie, 13TH CHILD. And I just watched ALIEN NATION again the other night and totally forgot about his little role in that. It was great seeing him regularly in that second Stacy Keach/Mike Hammer series they did in the late 90's.

In looking around a little, apparently he had a small part in some updated version of RICHARD III starring David Carradine, Maria Conchita Alonso and Sally Kirkland!

Revisited They Live and Prince Of Darkness last night, and today, and he really just steals every scene he's in. Carpenter knew he had a great actor, and he utilized him in a lot of his movies after that. Just a shame he never had a really meaty supporting part like he did in They Live and Prince Of Darkness. I think he knew that, and just as in my first post, he made sure he stood out with his few minutes of screen time like in Body Bags.

Loved his two-minute cameo in Mortal Kombat.

"Hiii Jaaahny."

Love me some Peter Jason.

Peter Jason was also good as the bartender at the country/western bar on 48 Hrs. If I'm not mistaken, I think I saw him on an episode of Daniel Boone a few months back where he and Kurt Russell were brothers.
