Since the tastless meter has already been broken I'll mention something I was thinking about this morning.

What if Neeson had been in the midst of filming that Lincoln picture with Spielberg? I wonder just how something terrible happening with Richardson would effect it. He's clearly a very human being and would obviously be concerned with his wife beyond all other points. But he's also a consumate professional(at least that's the impression I get).

I can't imagine how what's happening, let alone if it does deteriorate further, would inform his performance. Assuming he would continue.

Richard Basehart and Paul Douglas were both going through some particularly life changing times when they made FOURTEEN HOURS in 1950 and it shows in their uniquely touching performances. (Sorry, I know the film is a bit outside the usual pop reference pool but it was the first and most appropriate one I could think of.)
