I'm a little surprised to see Criterion attached to this. But this is a movie that I was planning on getting just for the making of stuff so seeing a Criterion symbol gives me hope that those features will be very well done.

As excited as I am for this, I'm going to be one of those assholes who harps on the packaging if it's anything like the Bottle Rocket CC Blu Ray. As careful as I've been with it, the cardboard design is already exhibiting signs of wear.

I hear you on that. There's also problems with The Man Who Fell to Earth packaging. Lots of bends and wearing away at the binding point. I've also heard about issues with El Norte.

I'm such an easy lay. I wasn't going to buy this until they stamped the Criterion label on it.

I'm still scratching my head over how Armageddon got a Criterion DVD.

This could have been a Fincher push, or perhaps Paramount and Criterion have come to some sort of agreement for future releases. This bodes well for Days of Heaven Blu. And a possible Transformers 2 Blu.
