If the search function worked, you'd find a few threads on her particularly around the time she trashed Michael Rappaport's house. It's not about looks, its about popularity. Natasha isn't all that well known to the public at large and thus the media isn't going to print as much about her because her name doesn't sell papers/bring ratings.

Lindsay was the Miley Cyrus of the early aughts. The Disney girl gone bad. The Parent Trap put her name on the map, Freaky Friday blew her up and Mean Girls clinched her status as "It" teen girl. At the height of it she was everywhere - hosting SNL, recording albums, and discovering boys and blow.

Natasha got some claim to fame in American Pie but was hardly the star of the film, and then got some indie cred with Slums of Beverly Hills and But I'm a Cheerleader - both of which I absolutely love but I bet very few people have heard of or seen. Beyond that, I'd be hard pressed to name anything else she's been in.

I'm curious who had a lesser role in American Pie and got famous. Natasha wasn't one of the four male protagonists nor any of their girlfriends. She played Tara Reid's sidekick. Hardly a star making turn.

I have an obsession with lots of people. Lohan does not come close to being at the top of the list. I post about things people like to talk about. For good or bad, people like to talk about Lindsay. You don't. No big whoop.

I see. Honestly, gossip magazines/sites will follow anyone. TMZ, Perez Hilton, dlisted and a few other big names have tons of fodder on complete nobodies. TMZ has a tag for some guy who likes to wear florescent mini skits, giant headphones and dance in the middle of public places. dlisted follows some wacko who wears doll houses on his head.

But there are certain people who will always sell magazines/bring hits. Put Brad and Angelina on any cover and it will fly off the shelves. In their case, I'd say the fuck factor is high. But I don't think that's the driving force behind Lohan's popularity. Aside from really beautiful people getting together and breaking up, gossip sites love a good train wreck. Lohan, Britney, Amy Winehouse, Busey, Sizemore...their hijincks will always sell. When they fall, they fall hard.

But aside from who the paparazzi courts, there are the celebs who court the paps. The train wreck crowd tends to think all publicity is good publicity and will call the paps and tell them where they'll be. The paps know that if they try and get in George Clooney's face, he'll rip them a new asshole. Tom Cruise loves to "sue, sue, sue". People like Reese Witherspoon are just too boring. The rags love to make shit up about her because she doesn't do anything wild and crazy.

And the other thing keeping Lohan in the mix is that she continually responds to stuff people say about her on her blog or MySpace account. And in doing so, brings more attention to herself instead of letting shit die down. I just think in Lohan's case, she's force-feeding herself down the media's throat. And if she's dangling, they'll take the bait.

Um, aren't we saying the same thing? Lindsay's a fame whore.

Lily Allen singing Womanizer. Around the 3:30 mark Lindsay Lohan walks on stage for absolutely no reason, stumbles around a bit then leaves.

Lily is also a train wreck of a person, but since I like her music I can't rag on her.

Yeah, I saw that. She's been driving around in a sports car lent to her by a porn director. And you know, porn directors love giving shit away for free and have no expectations for her to return the favor.
