The Thread of Poorly Named Restaurants - Page 2

There was a Chinese place in Chattanooga, TN called "YUM YUM" and there was a sign below it that said "GOOD FOOD!!"

It didn't help that it was packed inside a strange Addams Family looking house with no discernible parking lot (more of an unmowed yard, really). Years later I heard it's actually quite excellent.

Used to be a place here in Tucson named Greasy Tony's . They also had a one in Tempe. What made the the place special for chewers? Booger from Revenge of the Nerds wore one of their t-shirts in the film.

Hey! I lived in Pensacola from 86-94. Where's that place? On the boardwalk? I lived over near UWF until I graduated in '92, then moved a bit closer toward the airport.

There's a place over here in Clear Lake just off Highway 3 called "Khan Fried Chicken." I have to go there.

"Dirty Dicks", in San Antonio on the boardwalk. It's one of those restaurants where the wait staff treats you like shit. Fun times.

Like I said in an earlier post, there's a place in San Diego with a very similar name and set up.

If I remember correctly. It had something to do with the shit commercial lots they used to get to start their cheap shops.

Didn't know that.
