Movies At The Domy!

Thread Starter
As BillyG pointed out to me in another thread, there's a homegrown bookstore in Houston and Austin called Domy Books that has movie nights, and looking at this list here, there's some great films on the horizon that will be playing.

I suggest a Chewer Night! Hell, if they don't have a Blu-Ray player, I'd call them and see if one of us could drag one in to show, depending on their set-up. Anyone interested?

OMG THEY'RE PLAYING STUNT ROCK ON 4/27 - HOW THE HELL DID I NOT KNOW OF THIS PLACE?!?!

I'm up for repeated Chewer Nights, for sure. A Night to Dismember! The Jerk!

How about April 17th?

Hahah NIGHT OF THE LEPUS is soooo bad, man. I'm up for it.

I think I saw it on a TV edit when I was like 6 or 7...I thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread.

I'm definitely up for it. Jared and I were planning on hitting a couple bars since he's coming into town, so if we want to all do that afterward it could turn into a nice half-drunk discussion about giant bunnies.

I can't drink, but I'm all for coming out to that part of town to do this. I'll probably bring some friends along.

B_Metal! Stop your damn rampaging and come out!
We still doing this, fellas?
Damn skippy. I sent B_Metal the details as well, but I have a feeling he's going to be rampaging or beating unfit parents to death, and will not join us. I hope to be wrong. Also, check out their new schedule. A plethora of good in there.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
F For Fake
Hard Rock Zombies (No idea, but sounds marvelous)
MAGNUM FORCE!
8 1/2
Scanners
Sullivan's Travels
Total Recall
Blade Runner

Just a few days off. Everyone still coming?
I'm still confirmed -- Nordling, you gonna make it?
Official date and time and I will try my damndest to make it. The 17th was the date right? What time is really the question.

EDIT: Okay I see 8:30 to 10:30 on the site. Let me know if that's correct.
That's it -- you coming?!
10:30 is when the movie ends and the fun begins my friend!

Fair warning, Friday is a work day for me and 82% of the time I do a removal on Fridays. So while I pledge to make the attempt, my work may keep me from making it. Now if it were on Saturday I could say for sure.

Basically, pencil me in.

All the more reason to come! After you remove some kid from the home come drink up those sorrows!

That all depends on how long it takes to get a placement for the kids. CPS sucks.

Here's a guy who really needs to get forcefully dragged to the pub.

It's this Friday? I'll try. Thing is, I'm going to Austin Saturday morning with the family, so I don't know how late I can stay.
I just wanna point out to everyone that what Alan really means is that he's heading up to the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin to see UP.

Yes.

You read that right.

UP.

How's everyone looking for tonight? Weather is going to be ranging from "possible rain to torrential fucking Noah reenactment" today, so I'm not putting money on anyone walking around Montrose tonight.

Yeah, I'm out. Weather's already coming down.
Weather had me locked down in freaking Liberty. I hate Texas weather.
The weather ended up clearing up really nicely, but we skipped the movie since it's not a very good movie. Just an excuse for a Chewer get together. We ended up hitting a few bars, and had a hell of a time. I think I am going to try and get something going for my birthday in a few weeks, probably May 15th. Chewers welcome.

Just keep in mind, the movie is what gets me out of the house and keeps the wife happy.
I'll be honest -- I would have been all for the movie if I didn't have to go with JUST Billy.

Seriously, what's with that guy?

I get Texas poutine in me, and it's worse than moonshine man.

I don't mean we have to actually watch a movie. I need the built in excuse to get out of the house. Once I'm out, any shenannigans that arise are A-OK.
That B_Metal guy, he's a man's man, man.
Honestly, I kid. My wife is about as easy going as they come and after seven years married(last sunday) with three years prior to that dating, she knows I'm not going out running around.

Plus I choke her when we have sex so I think that's makes up for the rest of my lady-like ways.
