I've been eating sandwiches for over 10 years at home at lunch to save money for personal expenses like video games and CDs. Now I try to only buy video games that take over a month to play (usually RPGs).

I refinanced my house in January so I was able to lose a lot of debt which is great, but my 3-year-old son is slowly creeping my expenses back up with his TumbleBus and Music class fees.

yet I won't start panicking until I run out of "free house" money from our refinance.

Yeah, I can only burn two Stradivariuses (or is it Stradivari?) in the fireplace at a time now.

I throw away less "perfectly good white boys" than I use to.

Yeah, I know what ya mean. I used to wipe my ass with Action Comics #1. Now it's Amazing Fantasy #15.

I'm still spending money on baby wipes. Thank you Will Smith!

Don't feel bad, I'm wiping my ass with Valiant back issues.

I'm consuming cheaper wines as of late... but I refuse to give up my foie gras and caviar!

Dammit, if we can't keep to standards, then what is the use of having them?

I'd be careful, some of that Shooter work has been directly linked to AIDS.

I heard early Image issues were linked with herpes.

Watch out for the diecuts, foil, and embossing! They can chafe.

And Turok is vengeful. Make no mistake.

I was going to work a Bloodshot gag somewhere south of Smails' AIDS comment, but I couldn't reconcile it with the better person I'm trying to become.

This thread took a sharp right at the corner of awesome and bitchin'.

Well, it was tough, but I had to sell the extra Rolls, dismiss my sous chef, and cancel my order for this year's Gulfstream (I'd filled the ashtrays of this year's, so it was time...). Also, this years' week-long bacchanal at the Bunny Ranch has been put on hold, unfortunately. Wordsworth will be sending out the vouchers to those of you who paid in advance, so no worries there.

Oh, and those of you who are using comics for wiping materials, please be advised that using anything by Liefield will give you 'roids something fierce. McFarlane's tend to work better, but the truly discerning will go with a vintage Kirby every time, or a Romita in a pinch.

Not to delve into sterotypes but I went from poppers right to Cholorform. Might as well cut to the chase here.

Can you imagine Fleed during the economic crisis? Do I stop buying the new GI Joe movie figure or do I cancel the eBAY auction for the Shogun Warriors? He may be the most conflicted person on earth right now.
Despite what they say, I don't think Fleed will ever leave the Post Office.

I just had a heart attack at the thought of that. Here they're still about $3.50 and more often than not they're buy 1 get 1.

I eat stray animals and steal water from my neighbors outside water hose.

Nah, I'm kiddin'. I'm single, my bills are cheap, and I make a ton of money working for KRAFT. I do have to pay $400 a month child support because of my income, but it's better than being a deadbeat Dad like mine was.

Is it?

The hardest cuts to make (for me) are food-related. Take-out Thai used to be a weekly expense but it's been reduced to every 3 weeks or so. And while I love to cook, I also tend to like somewhat pricier ingredients. New York Strip Steaks are the lowest cut of steak I eat, I vastly prefer imported aged sharp cheddar and parmesan cheeses to Cracker Barrel or Kraft, and asparagus continues to be one of the most expensive vegetables around (especially baby white asparagus, the veal of vegetables).

Hell, even when I have franks and beans it's pricey because I have a friend send me Sabrett's from New York. It's killin' me, I tells ya.
