Save the Bronx Zoo!

For anyone who hasn't heard, Paterson is proposing that state funding to the Bronx Zoo and New York Aquarium (as well as 74 other zoos, aquariums and botanical gardens in NY State) be completely eliminated. It's pretty insane and will be devastating to them if allowed to happen.

Spread this around if you can! The Bronx Zoo is easily one of the best in the country and I can't imagine what it would have been like to have grown up without it.

Don't know if you folks heard, but this campaign worked. They've got all their funding!

Why? What's the state supposed to fund if not things like these? What's next, parks? Garbage disposal?

I saw this too late to contribute anything of value, but I wanted to thank you for putting this out there, and for actively working to help save that funding.

I love the Bronx Zoo, and the notion of their funding being completely cut is insane to me.
