It seems to involve everything except the actual act itself, I think...but is this even going to be made?

Personally, I don't think this concept is even very interesting, but enh...I can imagine what the Wiimote is supposed to turn into.

Video games aren't suited to maturity...

This isn't maturity. It's silly. And yes, games are plenty suited for maturity. An M rating doesn't make a game "mature."

This reads like an Onion article.

Both ideas sound frighteningly close to those dating sims that are so popular in Japan, but I've always felt, treated with some level of maturity, the concept could work. Unfortunately, neither of these two ideas even approach that level yet.

I'm most curious to hear the story behind this, though:

But while Zimmerman touted the widespread historical acceptance of the theme of autobiographical sex, he noted with some dismay that veteran game designer Kim Swift, who works for Valve and who created the award-winning Portal, had originally been slated to be among the contestants but had eventually been pressured by Valve to withdraw due to the theme.

"I'm saying this as a fan of Valve," Zimmerman said, "but I do find it frustrating and disturbing that Kim would be pulled from the panel."

If the posts in this thread represent in some way public opinion Valve may have done the right thing.

I mean the attempt to make an actual Mature game that's good is impossible, I think.

Except that, as games, these sound boring as fuck.

If this doesn't involve my nipples being electrocuted with jumper cables attached to a car battery, then it's absolutely nothing like when I was deflowered. Fuck this game.

Is there an uphill experience to this? You started out with gangbusters. I say just quit now, and become a monk. You've experienced it all on your first outing.

I'm just hoping that the character creator can accurately re-create my father's "untucked drunk" hairstyle, which was like a combover that gave up.

And then the tears came.

By combover that gave up. You mean Bill Murray's hair at the end of Kingpin?

Is the game gonna come with thick cords of nylon rope for my hands and feet? Also, will there be goats?
