The timing of this cannot be a coincidence. Some folks are saying it's too violent, but shit, they don't call it domestic niceness, do they? Personally, I applaud Keira for not being a coward like so many in Hollywood in regards to this issue and taking a public stand.

I'm not sure it's cowardice. If you were to talk to Ryan Reynolds or someone cool like that it would go without saying that domestic violence is very very bad. Speaking out about domestic violence because it's "Fresh and relevant" in the eyes of the public is cool and all, I just think it's wrong to damn Hollywood as cowards because people don't speak out. It's like saying Cancer is bad and we do not support cancer.

I'm talking about people like Usher who released a statement condemning Brown and then retracted it quickly. THAT is what I consider cowardice. should have been more specific.

It's kinda' weird for a PSA - are we watching a trailer? Are we watching a movie being made? Are we watching Keira Knightley getting her ass handed to her? Are we watching Keira playing a woman getting her ass handed to her? It's a riddle in an enigma on a sesame seed bun.

And while I have never - and would never - hit a woman, you gotta' admit - all you'd have to do to justify repeatedly kicking Keira in the tummy would be to show her your ticket stub for Pirates 3...

If Keira Knightley had the guts, she would indeed do a Canadian PSA. She would denounce domestic violence as her boyfriend punches her, then throw her on the ground while kicking her. After that, he would tie her on the hood of his car and drive around town like a madman, hitting everything he can find, radio blazing Bon Jovi's "Living on the Edge", while being ignore by the police. It would most likely end with him buying her diner at Wendy's while berating her for not ordering ketchup, leading to him stabbing Knightley in the front of the restaurant.

And this would air at 2PM, because it's a PSA. I love Canada.
