Anybody around here have friends/acquaintances on one of these curious watch lists? Two friends of mine are, and sure enough, they're arab and lived in the middle-east as children, before emigrating. Racial profiling is flawed, especially when applied to such a large scale of relations between countries...our immigration policies are an illusionary drape, allowing fake thoughts of security that will only erode freedoms...

Someone my wife knows was on one of these fucking things. They claim that it was "sorted out" with the "appropriate authorities", but I suspect they gave the guy the usual doublespeak and it'll eventually snag him at some truly inopportune time.

Don't expect much of a reaction from folks though. Seriously, Americans have enough to worry about as it is. The casting of IRON MAN 2, The Secret, twitting...they don't have time to worry about petty shit like this.

Just go back to sleep.
