America's favorite shrink is back this season. I love this show.

Great opening episodes tonight.

I thought the Hope Davis episode was kind of "meh" but I'm already in love with the Alison Pill story.

I know this isn't everyone's favorite show but I dig that it's an actor's showcase and you get such magnificent performance in almost every episode.

I started watching the first season about a week ago. Between that (I've only seen the first week of sessions) and the John Mahoney episode, all I can say is: goddamn it, I can't get hooked on another show. But that John Mahoney episode was fantastic.

He's so good. I'm also really looking forward to the Alison Pill episodes.

Just got back from a trip and watched all 10 episodes shown so far in two days.

Overall pretty good. I like basicly all the patients (unlike last season where the divorcing couple in paticular took a while to get into).

Actually my only problem is what the hell is with Paul. I mean it sort of funny his character says it because your thinking it at almost the same time "you set up this meeting, you know damm well you have personal issues that are affecting your general decision making, why are you being so rude".

Its not so much the idea of him trying to avoid facing the issues that he clearly has about his parents, just that its sort of funny to watch him set up a meeting and then change his mind like four times in a minute. Though it does work on that ironic level that he basicly doing what most of his patients are doing wrong.

I loved the first two episodes so far.

Hope Davis almost came off as likeable in her episode. Alison Pill is great. She never really made an impression in any of her previous work that I have seen (Milk, Pieces of April)

It's weird that Paul can't ever give a straight answer and always answers a question with a question. I mean, I understand that's his process but I think it would be highly frustrating for his patients.

This show is so good at what it does. Can't see it surviving another season though.
