Deep in the abysmal depths of caffeine addiction...

I will be drinking coffee for the rest of my life, every single day, and it doesn't bother me a bit. How pussified has society become?
I can quit any time I want.

I got your back here DL. Coffee is a blessing from the gods. I try to consume a nice (super) hot cup of black, bitter and strong coffee every day. People who don't drink coffee are like people who don't drink booze. Do not trust them.

Have you ever tried to stop? The article is about the withdrawal, which does indeed fucking suck. There's a reason Excedrin is mostly caffeine.

Caffeine withdrawal is absolutely real. Best advice: extra strength excedrin is like methodone for the caffeine addicted. I drink tea rather than coffee but the pain is just as bad.

Is it wrong that instead of thinking I should cut back on coffee (and I should), I'm totally going to go out and buy Excedrin? If I weren't already a drug addict, this would push me over the edge.

I have a desk drawer full of Excedrin.

The withdrawal is only the number two reason not to quit. Number one is that coffee is way too fucking awesome to ever quit. I'm an addict and proud!

Though, I really have no idea why this conversation is happening in Political Discourse.

I think I have a soda with caffeine in it every two months or so. I don't touch caffeine otherwise. With the amount of jacked up speed freaks running around this country, I can see why everyone's pissy with each other all the time. Put down the drugs people!

ikr? lol

I agree that drinking coffee (and tea!) is a pleasure and probably not that harmful in semi-moderation (which is subjective of course...)

I don't like coffee much at all. Caffeine makes me sleepy. I used to have a Mt. Dew every day, and if I missed a day it would give me awful headaches. I didn't like being slave to something though I quit.

Though I still drink alcohol every day...hmm....

I'm actually pretty good these days. I only drink a cup of coffee in the morning. Which is a far cry from the two to three cup I'd have by noon, and another cup or two mid-afternoon.

I don't drink soda at all though; it's way too sweet for me. And diet tastes like fake chemicals.

Alcohol... I'm pretty sure i'll never give that up.

I don't touch coffee, energy drinks, alcohol, any over-the-counter drug (unless I really need it), or drug of whatever kind.

Do not trust me.

I will kill you all the moment your collective backs are turned.

Never understood the fixation with coffee. The only effects I get from the stuff are tremors and an overwhelming urge to take a piss every five minutes.

Sugar, on the other hand, is pure ambrosia. Five heaped teaspoons in a cup of tea and I'm good for anything.

I'm currently engaging in an iced latte bender. So, so good. I never really got into coffee until I started working graveyard, but now that shit is the necter of the gods.
