God Dammit....well, at least we'll probably get a good Devin's Advocate about how videogames are not art and yadda-yadda-yadda out of this.

This concept will not work as a movie. Ever. Not even Spike Jonze Where The Wild Things Are treatment.

A movie based on a unique, aesthetically beautiful game centred around a guy slaying whimsical giant beasts in spectacular fashion? Don't see why it couldn't be something interesting in the right hands, especially if they stayed faithful to the atmospheric audio and visual approach of the game. Of course the writer of that Chun Li movie most likely isn't the right hands.

Amazing choice.

Imagine how amazing a sequel of this game would be on the PS3? Thats what Sony should be concerned with, not this inevitable catastrophe.

You can take any concept and make a good film out of it, the problem is a B or C team of talent is involved in this particular project. Until real A list filmmakers get involved in the production of films based on games the movies produced will remain to be guilty pleasures at best.
