Gah. Those dates/places couldn't possibly line up worse for me. I caught his solo show last year and it was killer.

If it were up to me that month would be spent finishing a new Pearl Jam album or rehearsing for a big tour, though. I just hope the ACL gig is part of a full North American tour in late summer/early fall.

Tati has been posting Pearl Jam videos on his Facebook account and its gotten me all atwitter over Eddie Vedder again. I would love to see him solo, unfortunately Albany is not an option.

Any particular reason Diva? Well, I mean besides the fact that it's Albany.

No that's pretty much it. I try to avoid Smallbany as much as I can.

The one show I've been able to find ticket information for has prices listed at $77! That's pretty insane. Actually, fuck that, that's REALLY insane. So much for the war against insane pricing and ticket conglomerates.

They lost that war a decade and a half ago.

I love that argument. It comes up every fucking tour. "Hey man, I thought Pearl Jam was all about keeping tickets affordable. Now they are money hungry corporate whores." Yawn.

Maybe it is a tired argument, but oh well. Almost $100 (after all the bullshit service charges) is a bullshit amount for a show. I love Pearl Jam and I'd love to see a solo Vedder show, but I really can't imagine any defense for those ticket prices.

How much is it costing to produce this tour? I assume you know since you were able to deduce that $77 is an indefensible amount to charge per ticket.

I don't know, but if full bands can mount tours for less than $77 a ticket, I imagine a solo act should be able to do the same.

I caught his solo show in Chicago last summer and it was outstanding. I'm really, really excited for the Atlanta date(s) on this tour. It'll be the first time I've seen Vedder/PJ perform without having to travel since 2003. Since they last played Atlanta in April of 03, I've traveled to Asheville, Chicago twice, Cincinnati, , Kissimmee, San Francisco & Washington DC. It's going to really nice to see a show less than 2 miles from my house.

The tickets are pricey, but I can easily blow $80 on typical night at the bar, so I'm not really too upset about paying that much to see Eddie play music for 2-2.5 hours in a pretty small venue.

Some Pearl Jam North American dates (okay, two) are starting to become official. Toronto on 8/21 and Chicago on the 23rd. I guess they could spend the week hitting select areas before the festival date in SF on the 30th. Time will tell.
