A little. It's their best produced record ever, so in that respect, no. But for the most part I'd say the songs are closer in structure and tone to Fuckin' A then The Body, The Blood, The Machine.

Awesome to hear. And that's absolutely not a slight because I LOVED TBTBTM, but Fuckin' A was just stellar. Gonna pick this up tonight.

They're LOUD! And very, very good. I haven't seen them with their new drummer (plan to next month) but I can vouch for their past live performances with enthusiasm.

This album is great, but a bit front-loaded. The stunning "At the Bottom of the Sea" comes near the middle, and the album never really recovers because nothing else achieves the heights of that song. It shoul've been the closer.

Also, in a just and fair world, "Now We Can See" would be a massive hit single. What a great song.

At the "Bottom of the Sea" comes as the last song of the first side of the vinyl, so it's placement is kinda perfect for me since it ends the first side. I love the second side too, some of the albums faster tracks (like the very Fuckin' A sounding "When We Were Alive," and "When I Was Afraid"). I love the album closer too, "You Dissolve." It's one of the catchiest songs about death I've ever heard...but I guess that's the whole album, really.

Well, that makes sense then. It's cool that bands are still sequencing for vinyl. Also, I just picked it up yesterday so my previous post should be taken as first impressions only.
